Ricardo is not the problem in the Chaim partnership... he digs 7 balls a tournament and those are the ones hit right to him. Also, Guto is the real deal, young guy that will learn from the veteran. I don’t think his Olympic aspirations are hinging on this partnership, it’s just who is available for him right now. The best blocking options for Guto are all playing with each other (Andre, Vitor, Evandro)... there will be a quality big for him when it matters, unless everyone is scared of his father/coach

Ricardo's blocking would be much more effective with almost anyone else behind him. Chaim should really try blocking. In terms of just digging, I think Chaim or Casey is the worst MD player on the AVP. That said, I don't think Ricardo is in shape. He seems to be running out of gas pretty frequently, although that could just be my perception

Zaun could handset in acid rain, let alone a little shower! Haha And he holds it so long his partners would get a nice dry ball to hit. Doherty really didn't come to play today. Crabb is everywhere though

Speaking of handsetting... Chase Frishman May be the smoothest on the beach.
I think this is to be expected from Doherty... he played so well last night, the law of averages brings him back to reality today

That Hyden/Brunner match almost put me to sleep. That has to be the dullest team on tour. Even their shorts are hard to watch.

Mens AVP Sunday are getting little boring. Phil and Nick are just so much better than everyone when something is on the line.

Also what was that heinous double call at the end of the first set?

Nick and Phil VICTORIOUS! 21-16, 21-17. Recorded 4 blocks and so did Jake.
