Her performance at the WCH was indeed awful, but you cannot tell her ability based solely on this match. She just came back from a two-year hiatus and it is no surprise for me that she would've been bad at that time. If you watch her throughout the season, you can see she is moving towards a positive direction, getting back to her form bit by bit. If she's able to keep this momentum, she is definitely the frontrunner in Opposite competition. Actually I was commenting on Murphy's play with those numbers. I knew Lowe had just come back, so I was not expecting a ton from her, but with Murphy was so bad, Karch had really no other option to play Lowe. Oh sorry, I misunderstood. Well, as I said, Murphy hasn't been effective ever since Rio. The lack of offensive power on our right side creates a huge burden for our OHs. Karch should've started seeking better solutions way back, rather than sticking with Murphy for another two years.

Foluke Akinradewo led the Japanese Women's V.LEAGUE DIVISION1 in kill percentage at .597 (.566 hitting% only 11 errors, 212 kills, 355 swings) in 16 matches (61 sets played). She also had 53 blocks in those 61 sets played to also lead the league in blocks per set at 0.87. Her teammate Nana Iwasaka who played in all 20 matches averaged 0.79 per set, which was 3rd in the league on average.

All season, its kind of been a coaches' decision whether she plays or not.
