I cheated and looked on CEV’s website. I’m kinda bummed by the outcome. Lowe had her chance and she blew it. No magical finish for Imoco. I don’t get it. Their roster is packed with talent. They should be dominating. Not getting edged in 5 sets. I guess that is the beauty of sport. You’ve gotta show up when it counts. I don’t think they can qualify for the quarters now. They are in 5th out of the second place teams. Gonna need some help from the lower teams in the other pools and they need a sweep next week. I’m happy for Scandicci and Novara but my heart hurts a little bit for Conegliano. What looks good on paper doesn't necessarily translate on the court. Imocos roster is packed with talent, but who is supposed to be the go-to player, Fabris, Hill, Sylla, Lowe?? This result will make Imoco go all out for Egonu next season, but the question is, will she still want to go there. Is Conegliano the USNT of the Italian/Champions League? No go-to player....but where the “team” is the ethos? I don’t think Lowe will ever be the go-to player even for the NT. She just has to be efficient and stop being so damn streaky.

How did the match turn out?! Pomi won in 4. I'm late, but the real highlight of the game was Cuttino. I still think she is far better than Lowe, Drews, or Murphy.

Cuttino has been getting more comfortable on the right. She never played the position in college. She has such a high contact point and puts up a massive block. Her liability will be her back court game, obviously but she is such a high-flyer. Does she have any chance with the NT in this position? Would love to see that, but she’s not a lefty.

Do y’all think that Khat Bell could be on the radar for the national team? She has become a well rounded six rotation outside hitter even though she played MH/Opp at Texas.

If Karch puts more emphasis into team harmony than skill and talent, no.

If Karch puts more emphasis into team harmony than skill and talent, no. Agreed. Nothing against Bell, but if Hooker was shunned for her behavior/demeanor, Bell seems even more outspoken than her.

I watched the USA-China Third Round match of the World Champs in Nagoya, 4 kills 6 errors (blocked and out) on 19 swings. It was like every time the ball went to her you expected something bad to happen.

Her performance at the WCH was indeed awful, but you cannot tell her ability based solely on this match. She just came back from a two-year hiatus and it is no surprise for me that she would've been bad at that time. If you watch her throughout the season, you can see she is moving towards a positive direction, getting back to her form bit by bit. If she's able to keep this momentum, she is definitely the frontrunner in Opposite competition.

I knew Lowe had just come back, so I was not expecting a ton from her, but with Murphy was so bad, Karch had really no other option to play Lowe.
