And you don’t necessarily need to concentrate on recruits or players with Hawai’i ties e.g. Maglio, Igiede, Rasmussen. Damn, I’m excited for tonight’s opening match!

If its a matter of budget dollars, well that's why you do fundraisers. Kind of like the football team that raises dollars to support their program at Murphys Bar & Grill...silent auctions, that sort of thing. To land the best prospects, you need to reach out to them and let them know about your program or they won't know you exist.

Yes, but there are so many needs that the program has that are underfunded -- Cost of Attendance, summer school, etc., in addition to recruiting. And Robyn doesn't have the golfing network that Dave had so golf tournaments are out (and unless you really run them as fundraisers (vs. fun outings for friends of the program), they don't make that much anyway. Robyn's trying, with the College Hill Meet-and-Greet being a fairly successful event.

How many scholarships for 2020? 3 or 4 scholarships? 1 for setter Kate, mysterious Euro outside, probably another setter, and an extra hitter or perhaps libero if Nalani or Keonilei reconsider?
Excited to see if RAM nabs any more outstanding transfers, perhaps Saige wants to transfer home.

If UH continue this no libero lineup, the libero position is going to be under used. I don’t think you want to have 2 libero on scholarship(assuming Hanawahine has one now) when your primary lineup is libero-less.

She doesn't start or get at least 10 digs a game. Even Tita Akiu had to earn her scholarship

I wonder if Sofia Andersson is interested in coming over? She was Hanna’s beach partner and a setter for Sweden’s U20 team. Hanna is also a teammate of her for indoor also.
She is 5-11 and got international experience. Could be a good get.

Hawaii has three scholarship seniors: Sibley, Iosia and Choy.
Lang is one commit, and apparently there is that European outside that koavball says is "Rado-like". With that said, my guess is the final scholarship goes to a setter. I would guess a freshman, but perhaps UH would want to wait it out for a transfer setter with more experience? With the personnel UH has returning, I'm sure they'd want to keep the 6-2 offense with the middles and setters subbing out.
We didn't here about Hellvig until early 2019, so I have a feeling we won't here much on recruiting anymore until next year lol. Unless its for 2021 and on.

Back in the Dave days, the WVB used to sponsor a fundraising dinner at the Stanley where you could talk story with the coaches and players, get autographs, buy VB sports wear and watch videos to create hype for the new season. This triggered large donor interest, much of the donors were 60+ but there were a lot of them...these are the hoards of quiet folk that sit in the premium seating. I sit there with dad sometimes where he reminds me to sit down and shut up :-(

Hawaii and without any hesitation, she said "YES". Lets see what happens

Someone asked on this thread or another if Angelica Ljungqvist is the best volleyball player in history from Sweden. I know she’s one of the best, if not the best. As I searched this, Isabelle Haak‘s name would often appear in the results. I know it’s a huge reach and highly improbable, but it would be great if she was available. Just fantasizing.

I don’t think you want to have 2 libero on scholarship(assuming Hanawahine has one now) when your primary lineup is libero-less. We are running this system because we don't have an elite libero. If one was willing to come, we would use them.

It would be a good idea if Lang considered enrolling early. Give her time to connect in and outside of the team which is crucial for her position.
