Our opinions don't matter. If Ah Mow likes her -- and there's every indication she does -- then she's In like Flynn. True, Robyn likes Wagoner, otherwise she would not have recruited her. Wagoner right now has upperclassmen in front of her. She just needs to bide her time, learn and grow, as a volleyball player. So that when it is her time, she can make an impact on the Wahine volleyball team that Robyn recruited Wagoner to be. Well, it's not that she has upperclassmen ahead of her. Ah Mow gave Wagoner plenty of chances in the first half of the season. She was starting every match until around the time Van Sickle got hurt (vs. UC Irvine). Then, with two major terminators (Van Sickle, Rasmussen) down, Ah Mow needed terminators and went with Ross. At that moment, Ah Mow preferred to have a terminator like Ross and work on her passing/digging deficiencies, rather than have a sure-thing passer/digger like Wagoner who couldn't terminate. If Van Sickle hadn't gone down, Wagoner may have remained a starter till the very end and possibly earn Big West All-Freshmen team plus, maybe, All Big West Honorable Mention. Van Sickle's injury really turned the tide for Wagoner.

Perhaps, but that would be a lot more time consuming than simply asking those who have already watched most of her games what they think. Our opinions don't matter. If Ah Mow likes her -- and there's every indication she does -- then she's In like Flynn. I don't think Ah Mow posts here. So I have to ask the HI fans instead. If you don't feel that you are qualified to reply, fine with me.

In Robyn's eyes, it probably wouldn't hurt if Riley got some "tita-tude"

I'm not qualified but I already replied. I provided regular updates about her as a Hawaii recruit when she was starring for my old HS. So I don't think that it is out of line if I ask for an update about how she is doing now that she is a Hawaii VB player, from time to time. Like maybe once per year, towards the end of the season.

I recall when Saige decommited from her first school, people on this board said she was not a good fit for Hawaii. I'm curious, what is different now than a year or so ago? What school did she decommit from? Missouri

Hawaii ran the slide quite a bit whenever Westerberg and Akana were in the match. In fact, I'd say 90% of the balls Westerberg and Akana got were slides.

They were right sides, so it's really more of a step-out. When the setter is back-row, the right side is in the way of the middle on a slide, so they'd have to get out of the way or do a crossing pattern.
