Huh. What does that have to do with anything. You lost me. What does crying not being allowed and not hugging have to do with anything I was referring to? My point is we have not become a nation of cry babies. EOM Oh I disagree completely. Whining everywhere u look when someone doesn’t get there way. You go ahead and keep believing that till the moment America falls due to the extreme sensitivity. If things don’t change it will happen mark my words

Interesting comments from Russ Rose in the post match press conference. Said he thinks Hentz is the “battery” that keeps Stanford competing at a high level and that Reed is great but that during a conversation one of the other players missed the “boat” with the message he was trying to instill into the team wondering who he is referring to. I agree with him about Hentz, although even if Hentz gets the balls up if there is no Plummer (and especially for example last nights match) Stanford would not have won. The comment RR made will bother me because I want to know who he meant, but yes I guess he was referring to the setter.

Hmmmmmm.....what if Stanford goes all the way to the championships match and lose there? What's your point? Yeah, they go all the way to the last match and lose. So?

What a bunch of crap about Rose. People write as if they know the coach. I doubt very many of them do. I always figured he was a fine coach, but mostly, along with his staff, an excellent recruiter. He has appeared to be a really good game coach, making changes as needed and clearly scouting well. His teams usually executed well. He also seemed to instill a toughness in his players that comes out sometimes in anger, frustration, and whining. White, more than once looked pissed off about everything. I imagine she just reflected her coach's attitudes. As others have mentioned, he has always tried to bully the refs. In this match, he didn't succeed.

U know nothing about him or the situation and a long list of all American alumni would disagree with you who played for him. You call it bullying others call it fighting for your team. Many coaches in all sports do it. If ignored it up to this point but I’m tired of the Russ try’s to bully officials whining over and over and over. It’s old.

I would have thought Rose's coaching record and long list of accomplishments would speak for itself, but apparently not for some. Bottom line, no one is perfect, including Rose, but he has not done anything unethical or illegal, so why the harsh criticism against him?

Like I said I’ve ignored it up to this point but coaches in all sports do it it’s called fighting for your team and players. I give Nebraska and cook crap for it but in end cook is one of the best at doing whatever he can to help his team. Great coaches are gonna do whatever they can to help their players. Just tired of people trying to bash him for doing something coaches in all sports at all levels do. Nothing personal against wonder. He/she just happen to be the latest to make comment where I was at my max hearing it. How many times was that referenced yesterday. Did I say a word. You won’t find one. I just hit my max or break at a certain point with things also. I was over hearing that same thing over and over. And I guess the fact that it’s the next day and psu is out and there’s another round of matches comming and this is still being focused on is annoying Trust me Stanford fans are last fans I want to fight with. I like Stanford.

This is one of the most ignorant statements I've read on VT in months, and that's saying a lot.
Just going by what I see and hear. I'm sure you probably know more about him then I do but look at Hugh Mcutcheons post game and RR. Who would you rather have your kid play for.
If I had a kid, I would let them decide who they feel comfortable playing for. I think each coach has his allure and that's why high ranking recruits end up in different places. Some end up transferring if they don't find what they were expecting, which is fine too.

That was the better response. I was just over the rose the bully talk. Heard it a few too many times and snapped

So Penn State loses both OHs, Leath and Reed plus Weiskercher. That's a lot.
I've never seen Penn State so thin in the outside. Cathey plus the future recruits?

story of the match: A red hot Plummer melted the snow off the heavy laden Tree branches.

Being direct = OK.
Public humiliation = not OK.

Being direct = OK. Public humiliation = not OK. He didnt mention any names and the players and person who did it already knew who it was so he didn’t do anything. The public doesn’t know who it is. They can guess but don’t know. He complimentated reed for doing right things and just said someone else didn’t. Didn’t say who. It can only be public humiliation if the public knows who it is and they don’t. It’s all guesses
