I think Quade will be more difficult to replace than Poulter was. If you think back to 2018, Poulter-Quade-Bastinelli were GREAT players. Now all 3 are gone. Need others to step up. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the key is Mica. For her to not even get in the match vs Utah was ridiculous. She was a #7 rated recruit for a reason. What no one who has a VB IQ above room temperature has ever thought, written or posted publicly before. . . Ever. Ay. . .yi. . . Yi . . . Bless you PS Chris, get out. . . Quickly. . . OSU has to look pretty good in light of this insanity. . . Again, quickly. . .

It would be interesting to see how many times AD's approach Chris Tamas to see if they can pry him away from Illinois.

If you believe turnabout is fair play...here goes...hey Gabby Gonzalez, want to be coached by one of the best coaches in the collegiate game? Well, then how about transferring to Illinois! The B1G eligibility office has already ruled that intra-conference transfers are allowed (at least as long as you write an appeal that challenges the very basis of the B1G rule used to discourage players jumping from one B1G team to another. And that is that a player must sit out a year and forfeit a year of eligibility. The eligibility committee has proven that they themselves do not agree with these established rules. At least when it comes to allowing liberos from other B1G teams to transfer into Wisconsin). In fact, why don't all the B1G players who wish to transfer to another B1G team just do it! Wisconsin will need another libero next season after Clark graduates.

Improvements over last season: Serving: 53% more service aces/set and 4% fewer service errors/set Defense: 25% fewer receiving errors/set, 14% more digs/set, and 49% more block solos/set Points/set: 1% more points/set Dropoffs from last season: Attacking: <1% fewer kills/set, 24% more attack errors/set, and a reduction in hitting % from .265 in 2018 to .214 in 2019 Defense: 12% fewer block assists/set Setting: 58% fewer assists/set She's getting more swings, she's going to make more mistakes, and have less opportunities to set her teammates. Fewer Block Assists may also be an opportunity issue. If you end up matching up with her do you set the ball that way or attack against Mica or Diana plus whoever is in the middle? They are both new to the court.

Can Buena get a red shirt now? I'm not sure of the rules. Bruna is listed on the 2019 roster as a red-shirt freshman, so I would guess she's not eligible. That is correct. You can't redshirt when you've already redshirted.

I don't think it's ridiculous if that's what Tamas decided was the best route to possibly beat Utah. She was a #7 rated recruit coming out of High School. She isn't in high school anymore so maybe she isn't as good as everyone thought she would be. To play student athletes just based on their high school recruiting rank would mean some very good players would not see the court at all...

Yet another well-deserved feather in her cap- congratulations, Jacqueline! This season she even improved over every individual 1 stat from 2018: Serving: 53% more service aces/set and 4% fewer service errors/set Defense: 25% fewer receiving errors/set, 14% more digs/set, and 49% more block solos/set Points/set: 1% more points/set Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/76046/illinois-2019?page=134#ixzz68UTSCJNb--- 1meaning one she's independently responsible for or is largely individual

How often do you see a first-team All-American return the next year and not get All-American? I guess that just goes to show how much of a difference Poulter made.

Khalia Lanier from USC. -- from 1st team to honorable mention Another factor is that the team struggled and was eliminated from the tournament early. That is not all on Brown. Had the team advanced, Quade would likely have been named 2nd or 3rd team AA.
