Huge congratulations to Jena Otec, who continues to have a stellar season. With her four aces against Maryland tonight, she's crossed the 40 ace mark for the season. It's the most aces any Boilermaker has had in a single season since 2006. She's now at 105 aces for her career with four conference matches (+ NCAA tournament) to go and another year of eligibility. She'll need 40 more aces between now and the end of her 2020 season to crack the top 10 in Purdue history. She is also, as of tonight, the B1G leader in total service aces (Wisconsin's Izzy Ashburn still leads in aces per set) for the 2019 season (this includes pre-conference matches).

I'm not going to make a game thread for this, but the boilers just beat rutgers 25-4 in the 2nd set...

I'm not going to make a game thread for this, but the boilers just beat rutgers 25-4 in the 2nd set... It was a monster set. Cleveland probably could've served out the set but I'm glad Chen, Chinn, and the others got court time. Overall this probably the strongest serving Boilermakers team in awhile. Five out of six can generally go on some lengthy runs.

I won’t be able to attend the last home game. Will someone please tape the Senior Day presentations? I would appreciate it.

I also wanted to know if anyone saw the game as well last night. There was a stop in play in the beginning of one of the sets. I can’t remember which one it was. The Purdue coaches were livid. There was no explanation announced. Before the ball reached Purdue’s side, the top judge blew a whistle. I am guessing that Purdue was called for a rotation error? But then the announcer said that Rutgers earned an ace. I don’t understand how it’s an ace. Before the even reached Purdue’s side, the play was dead. The Purdue players considered the play dead and didn’t attempt to touch the ball when it reached their side.

Very excited that the boilers get a chance to host, Marquette is a tough matchup for sure, but I'm sure the boilers are excited to be at home.

I'm still in delightful shock. This team worked hard all year but I certainly didn't know if the committee would recognize it.
Marquette is definitely tough. They have great pins and a solid middle core but so does Purdue. Should be a fun match if both teams make it through that first round draw.
