So I just looked HAWAII roster had 17 start of the year and they lost 4 seniors & 6 transfers for a total of 10 players. HAWAII starting out with 7 returning players and does anyone know how many they are adding?

HAWAII starting out with 7 returning players and does anyone know how many they are adding? So far, Hawaii is adding 6 players to their roster: Hanna Hellvig Maia Hannemann Sabrina Hardisty Anna Maidment Ilihia Huddleston Blossom Sato There could possibly be a transfer coming in as well later, and there is also the possibility of cross-overs from the indoor team (it has been said that Jolie Rasmussen might possibly choose to play on the sand). Also, I think you miscounted as there would be 8 returning players, and I think you probably left out Regan Hurkett. However, we are returning 7 starters for the team, and we would need at least 3 players (5 for flight #6) left to fill up the top 5 flights.

I like this better than the AVCA All-American list. I think Cannon and Slater were not a first-team this season (better suited to 2nd team). IMO. Also didn't think FIU #1 flight deserved it either. Again, better suited to 2nd Team this year. IMO. Maybe not even Dyer and Bauer. I have heard several people say Volleyball Mag selections are better. 2019 VolleyballMag.com Awards Abril Bustamante and Tina Graudina (USC) - Pair of the Year Stein Metzger (UCLA) - Coach of the Year Abby Van Winkle (UCLA) - Freshman of the Year volleyballmag.com/beach-aa-052219 First team Abril Bustamante and Tina Graudina, USC Megan McNamara and Nicole McNamara, UCLA Claire Coppola and Kristen Nuss, LSU Sarah Sponcil and Lily Justine, UCLA Emily Maglio and Amy Ozee, Hawaii Second team Federica Frasca and Margherita Bianchin, FIU Brook Bauer and Heidi Dyer, Pepperdine Terese Cannon and Sammy Slater, USC Crissy Jones and Tiadoric Miric, Cal Poly Madison Fitzpatrick and Alaina Chacon, Florida State Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/76627/2019-ncaa-regular-season-postseason?page=56#ixzz5ogxH8sAN

Surprised that Cannon/Slater are highly placed again, but I guess since USC placed 2nd in the NCAA Tournament.

Surprised that Cannon/Slater are highly placed again, but I guess since USC placed 2nd in the NCAA Tournament. Honestly, I thought they played better last year than this year. I think there were definitely some other one pairs like Toth and Slattery, Mirkovic and Polo, etc. who maybe deserved it over them as well.

Maglio and Ozee were only paired together part way through the season whereas Jones and Miric had all season together, including some time together in the Fall. It's your overall record + All-Americans take into account post-season play at the tournament. Too bad their game didn't finish because it would have been nice to see them beat them there. They were playing better by the tournament. Stick to your Cal Poly thread...I guess there aren't many fans to talk to there though.

You know you could put all your thoughts into one post? And, maybe you haven't figured out yet that this is a Hawai'i thread NOT Cal Poly? No one hear gives a crap about your useless opinion. Ozee only started playing full-time defender half way through this season. By the end she was playing as well as any defender on the AA list. But, you're probably still pissed that Cal Poly got knocked out before Hawai'i and that Hawai'i is the team that knocked them out? Go ahead keep your star. You need it.
