Glad to see Slick and Billy playing well. I was pretty hard on Slick last year, felt he wasn't seeing the block well while hitting and there was a big difference in his attack approach and shot approach. If he's been able to work on that, those are big improvements.
Volleyball doesn't seem as boring with players like Adrian playing well.

Slick needs to stick to primarily swinging high and hard. His shots just aren't deceptive or precise enough to fall with frequency against the better defenders.

Amazing game from Carambula/Rossi. Every side out was unique. Incredible! Really impressive to see how well they communicate their shots with each other. Of course it was only possible because their passing was perfect. Curious to see how they match up against a top blocker like Phil or Mol. Stafford had no clue where the ball was going half the time.

Just watched semifinal and Adrian looks to be in peak form, his jump is much stronger than it was last time we saw him, got himself in shape for this season. Their style of play is makes for far more interesting viewing, B&S didn't play horribly but still got rolled. Good to see those two packaged together again.

Adrain was playing Clark Kent's "other" role in the Hyden/Dougherty match that just finished.... :-( They ran a very good off tempo offense. Shoot sets, back sets, over-on-two sets and fakes. It was like every play had two hitting options that kept Ryan off guard and guessing. Adrian was indeed super, but his partner Enrico made a bunch of plays as well. Yeah, that dump over in two was legendary !

Adrian and Rossi were unstoppable for Slick/Allen. I think USA was up 6-4 and before you know it it was 6-10.

He’s got pretty decent hands. I know other teams have experimented with a faster offense on the beach, the Polish guys come to mind, but these guys have taken it to a level not seen before. It’s incredibly exciting to watch when it’s clicking like this.

One of the French guys dislocated his shoulder in the other semifinal, so it looks like Stafford and Billy might win bronze by forfeit.

Just tuned in but just the eye test on Adrian man he has shed some serious lbs and although they are catching some bad breaks thus far he looks far more physical and quicker. I’m just learning about Rossi in this tournament but from what I’ve seen he seems to be a great counterpart stylistically for Carambula.
