That's not true. If you play 18's club season, you cannot play in any 17's qualifiers but you can play in 17's Nationals (for your same club). So while you can't help your team get the bid, you can help them compete at Nationals. So if a girl plays in an 18s USA Qualifier, she cannot later play in a 17s USA Qualifier? What's the rule about a 16 year old who has played in a Qualifier but then wants to play in a 17s or 18s Qualifier? This is correct for qualifiers. Once you play on a specific team for a qualifier, you cannot play on any other team for qualifier season. I believe Madi Skinner always played up and after her 18's Nationals her junior year, she then played for the 17's at the end of the year.

Is there still a Drive Nation? yep. No idea how strong they’ll be this season, but despite all the rumors, they’re still there.

Why would anyone think this is a good idea? Best 3 out of 5 in a 4 day tournament!?

It will be strange seeing Mullen & Messer playing without Pierce & Cisneros.

Why would anyone think this is a good idea? Best 3 out of 5 in a 4 day tournament!? The low number of teams in 18 Open at AAUs make this doable and it won't be an issue. Back in the old USAV days when they played best of 5, teams played two matches per day except one extra match if you were in the gold bracket. I can't remember if the 3-match day was on day 3 as a Gold challenge match or if it was the championship match. There were literally 12 teams in 18 Open last year. Two pools of six, then an 8-team Championship bracket would be two matches per day.

Previously you got locked onto a roster only once the team earns a bid at a qualifier. (You could not help multiple teams qualify.)
