They switched to float serving Arthur, immediately get points Evandro is looking pretty gassed in this second game. Already contributed to multiple points for the US with tired looking plays Not so much in the 3rdtrue. 3rd set got him going again.

Evans and Budinger serving slow topspin serves at Evandro. Very stupid strategy... as I've said a boring amount of times, there is no more useless serve than a slow topspin (Captain America). Underhand is more effective. gotta throw in a dead fish every now and then to switch it up, it works for TSand every so often

Incredible work by the Bello’s, taking down both American teams ranked top 20 in the world. They are about as likeable as it gets, being as small as they are means they always have that fighting/underdog mentality that makes you want to root for them!

I don’t follow BV much - but as a Brit I keep an eye on the bello brothers - can anyone advise if they’ve got a good shot of making Paris? Thanks in advance

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single set with so many aces as set two of the gold match. 11 between Brazil and Cuba! Evandro and Alayo were just bombing away out there. And 15 for the match.

never seen so many aces in a game before. And those were all hard top spin jump serves. I didn't expect to see that with the Mikasa ball.

Thanks in advance a very very long shot (fellow Brit here) the nations cup they have germany in May and ehlers/Wickler can still play in the second round. They just can’t play in the final. So that’s tough. But you never know. Re the top 17 if they keep at this level then maths miracles do happen. But gotta stay healthy and get near the top in Ostrava. It’s a ways out odds are stacked against them but there are still two roads on the distant horizon!

Evandro hit a serve up the middle in the semi, around 11 or so in the third game, that was so good Chase just smiled at Miles after Evans shanked it. Not very often you see a serve that a player gets a platform on that is nevertheless unplayable but that one was. Havent seen Evandro get his serves in the way he was doing this weekend in a while. Really miss the Evandro that was among the world's best several years ago

Also a 140 pt jump for winning in the round of 16 versus an 80 for winning the quarterfinal seems unfair.

The Bellos play at 1.25x speed. Lol
No offence to Sponcil but the Bellos are the Flying Squirrels. Fun team to watch.

Another strong result for the Bello brothers. Last fall people were discrediting them and Bud/Evans for good results at "weak challengers" meanwhile both teams make semis again at what could be considered one of the most important challenge events of the qualification period. It is really too bad the Cuban guys aren't able to participate in more events. They play so well for the amount of time they've played world tour events.
