Cook let this loss happen. He sat and said, figure it out or we lose. Might been the best thing for this team too. Because had be put in Orr, choboy as libero and moves Krause to RS we likely would have won. I do think he wanted the team to "figure it out". I think Choboy was also struggling when she was in there.

Is there an online replay of this match anywhere? If you have ESPN+, replay is available there. Otherwise, there is a YouTube page (ArjunTalksDaily) that has been uploading the matches, but this one isn't up yet.

At least we don't have to worry about the added pressure of moving up to #1 with the Longhorn loss.

Has anyone checked on Holiday??? He had such a great month when Texas lost, I’m just wondering how it is going now.

Agree.. and Nebraska offense too slow, no tempo But didn’t Bergen Reilly play at setter with the Senior National USA Volleyball team under Karch Kiraly before her freshman year because she is so good at setting a fast tempo offense? No she set with the senior national team because nobody else was available and one of the two setters tested positive for COVID.

if I’m John Cook, I’m inviting Bergen and Andi to a meeting and telling Bergen, “hi, this is your middle Andi Jackson. she’s arguably the most athletic freak in college volleyball right now. you need to set her every time she’s available, especially when she’s doing incredible offensively and your pins are getting housed into the oblivion.” there’s no reason Andi couldn’t be pushing 3kps this season (like 2.7-2.9 range). she’s unstoppable. and if Bergen sets her high enough there’s not a block that can stop her really either the fact that everyone but him is pushing this is a red flag i fear. literally common knowledge and common sense like, lets start with an OFFENSE before even thinking about a balanced offense, okay maam? if she wants to come to Wisconsin, we will make her the next Dana Retake. 🤣🤣

How spoiled Nebraska fans are. One loss and John Cook is on the hot seat? s**T happens. The Mustangs played a better match. It's not the end of the season. Nebraska is going to make a deep run in the tourney and non Mustang fans will forget this loss.

“We got punched in the mouth and we let them keep punching us,” Nebraska coach John Cook said. “I’m pretty disappointed in how we responded tonight, but to be honest I saw this. This was all starting Saturday night. We talked about frustration and we didn’t fix it. We had a great practice last night, but we did not compete tonight. It was pretty disappointing.” “They’re going to have to step up,” Cook said. “Part of it is we think we’re Nebraska and we’re going to roll out here and smoke teams. This team (SMU) played very inspired tonight. They played great. They won all the long rallies, let’s put it that way. That’s attitude and effort right there.” Pretty honest take from Cook. Pretty surprising take from Cook. He usually gives opponents no credit. Either he's maturing or this pounding was just too much to ignore.
