How spoiled Nebraska fans are. One loss and John Cook is on the hot seat? s**T happens. The Mustangs played a better match. It's not the end of the season. Nebraska is going to make a deep run in the tourney and non Mustang fans will forget this loss. It is not that Nebraska lost but how they lost. Watching on TV my first match of the season I saw no fire, passion, nor accountability to each other, and from the coaches as well. My concern is that this loss may have exposed something that is missing from the "Culture" of this team (my favorite word of the season). The talent is there but where was the fire to win? Can this team find its grit and determination. They had it last year it seemed until it went away at the end. It is OK to not always be so nice to each other and expect more from a teammate when competing at this level. Conversely, it’s how SMU won it. Great adjustments and great fight to claw back from being down in the 1st set. And they continued this onto the 2nd set by not relinquishing the lead at any point. NE may not have been their usual self, but that’s credit to SMU for not letting them. |

Hey.....USC, Oregon & Washington didn't drag UCLA along after blowing up the PAC12 just to get over here and see the B1G cream of the crop $#!+ the bed so early. I thought UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington WERE the B1G cream of the crop? They're just trying to not be the runts of the litter at this point. |

Not all of our favorite teams are lucky enough to have 5 star recruits. |

While lots of top teams already have that many losses in less than 1 week of play |

Well done SMU! They simply outplayed Nebraska. Not afraid to take big swings, serving pressure, good blocking, and a gritty defense. Well-deserved win!
