5 sets + two large volleytalk fanbases = first 100+ page match thread of the season 🐂🤝🐿️ Plus big upset. Lots of people enjoy rooting against Texas, but even more enjoy rooting for a great upset. This qualifies. It makes it better in some ways it wasn’t a fluke. Minnesota didn’t get “lucky” in some way. They were just flat out the much better team. It’s fun as a neutral fan to follow it. Also, it was said in the thread already, but it’s nice for many people to see a program that’s taken it on the chin in different ways, specifically regarding transfers, to give some comeuppance to a program that’s benefitted so much from transfers. There’s some karmic value in this win for a lot of peo people and that’s added to the activity.

I do not remember those doubleheaders in 2011 and 2012. Laura Bush undefeated against Texas in her interim coach year! I remember them. Booster Club had a meeting a little while before the weekend, and Coach Bush predicted confidently that we would win both matches.

If you were one of the 9 out of 61 people to vote for MN to win, please reveal yourself I chaotically voted for a Minnesota sweep because why the hell not 😂😂🤣🤣 I voted for a 3-1 victory. I did not have confidence that, if we took TX to a 5th set, that we’d be able to win the tie-breaking, crunchtime set.

Why did Swindle and 5 or 6 others stick around for this season. Did they not see this coming? See what coming? They like being at Texas. It's the 2nd match of the season. Let's see how it goes. I like Copperfield’s Bar, but it’s not in my best interest to stay there very long.

I felt like our passing was better than that overall, except for set 4, so wondering if that brought us down.

Halter was suspect at best. Texas has a setting problem. One can’t block anyone, one has been diminished and has no confidence in setting the ball.
