Penn State dropped only ONE spot? Also Washington deserves to be in the top 25. I guess who will they replace? BYU?

Minnesota didn’t take quite the hit that I was expecting them to.

Also, Texas hasn’t even played 20 matches yet? Most teams have played 22+ already. Just a light schedule this year?

Minnesota is too high.
Penn State is too high.
BYU shouldn't be ranked.
South Dakota State should not be receiving votes.

Also thought Illinois might receive some votes, but I guess not.

GT went up one after being manhandled by stanford? am i reading that correctly? I think it’s just the result of Minnesota dropping after going 1-6 in sets this week.

My take is this - the usual inertia of the AVCA poll has set in. Voters are unwilling to make bold jumps. The biggest benefactor right now is the Big 12. Most of the Big 12 teams are getting credit for beating each other up. IMO either you think these Big 12 teams as a collective are impressive, or you don't. I'm more inclined to believe that the Big 12 as a collective are getting far too much credit this season.
I think the following teams have set themselves apart from the others so far: Big 10: Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State ACC: Pitt, Louisville, SMU, (maybe Stanford) Creighton
As a whole, I don't see any real difference between
Big 12: ASU, Kansas, Baylor, TCU, Utah, BYU Big 10: Purdue, Oregon, Minnesota, USC, Washington, Illinois SEC: Kentucky, Texas, Florida, Missouri, Texas A&M, Tennessee ACC: Georgia Tech, FSU, Miami FL, North Carolina
Yet all the Big 12 teams are ranked. I'm thinking that the conference is overrated, but I guess we'll see come tournament time (provided we get a balanced bracket)
