This would be the strict cut-line as of real-time, right now. RPI Cut line Right now for bubble teams 38 UTEP 39 Ole Miss 40 Arizona 41 South Carolina 42 Virginia 44 Rice ------------------ 46 Pepperdine 47 Auburn 50 NC State 51 Wright State 53 Georgia Southern 55 San Diego Pepperdine: They have San Diego and Oregon State left - both at home. .519 opponent w/l%. I think winning both will get them in - but their resume in quality wins is rather weak. Pablo gives them just a 50% chance of winning both - as that San Diego match is a big one. San Diego has Saint Mary's and @ Pepperdine. Opponent avg w/l% of .519. Like Pepperdine - they will need to win both to have chance - but Pepperdine would be in the better RPI position with 2 wins vs. San Diego. Pepperdine vs. San Diego is an elimination game - Pablo thinks Pepperdine has a 53% chance of winning (but that San Diego is the better team). San Diego looked bad yesterday. Missing their starting setter and having their Opp just returning from ankle injury and not able to contribute anything in the match. If they still look like this vs Pepperdine, a healthy Pepperdine should have much better odds.

To put a bow on this from my perspective and looking at Futures for T16 seed: Lock (10): Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Stanford, SMU, Arizona State, Kentucky, and Creighton. Likely (3): Texas, Kansas, Utah. These teams just need to win 1 more match. Bubble (7): Purdue, Oregon, USC, Missouri, Florida, Georgia Tech, TCU. 7 teams battling for the likely final 3 tickets. Longshot (3): Dayton, Marquette, Baylor. I have a big hunch that either Florida or Georgia Tech will host (remember the geographical standpoint that the committee pointed out last year). It's just a matter of if Florida goes to Georgia Tech or if Georgia Tech goes to Florida.

I think GT blew their chances with the loss to FSU.

The committee did not (and will not) that in a borderline decision they will go with what makes sense geographically. The top 16 hosts are to be determined without looking at geography (whether that happens or not).

I think GT blew their chances with the loss to FSU. I don’t think it will happen, but they have a really clear path. Win today and upset either Stanford or Pitt.

ummmmmmmmmm there's something going on in Dayton, Ohio.......... What? Loyola is up 2-0 on Dayton in their conference tournament. Dayton is a definite at-large, so if they lose it will be a -1 for bubble teams.

Loyola is up 2-0 on Dayton in their conference tournament. Dayton is a definite at-large, so if they lose it will be a -1 for bubble teams. Not to mention Wright State got upset at home in Dayton in their Horizon League semifinal last night.

Did Dayton have a full roster? That result seem absurd.
