Everyone spend some time with this tape later -- BYU is exactly what UCLA would look like without Spicer. Their weakness is the setter isn't as good at putting up a consistent ball out of system, but otherwise they could go deep this year.

Can you imagine how certain teams would perform with Spicer at the helm.... like PSU

Dunning playing Lichtman BR for Klineman to improve the defense. Stanford up 27-17. Another underset from BYU. 28-17

I really like Lichtman out on the court. She looks like she could be a big time player. Maybe its her technique that gives her that look. She looked to be a good passer in that rotation.

Another note: Ailes is exactly what she is supposed to be. Her defense is very fluid and intuitive for a freshman. She's already better than several of this year's juniors/seniors playing that position on other top teams. BASTA aside, now I'm glad she signed with Stanford. If she and John Cook had managed to work something out, this year would have been too boring and predictable to bother with.

This is why I think Stanford can beat Nebraska. They are potentially better than 2006 at three positions with Klineman, Ailes and Lichtman.

Foluke has also raised her game by training with the national team. Her hitting is extremely polished for NCAA play. She will have a great pro career.

This is why I'm mystified that BYU has served Ailes when they've had a chance to serve Klineman. I think you will see Pavan and Larson aiming at Klineman to take her out of the attack options.
