Nice swing on the right from Klineman. She would help this team out greatly on the rightside because of her block. That is untill they play Nebraska. Klineman for OPP

This is why I think Stanford can beat Nebraska. They are potentially better than 2006 at three positions with Klineman, Ailes and Lichtman. Yes and No. Richards was the best passer and possibly best defender on the team last year. Klineman and Ailes don't=Richards at this point IMO Klineman is as good as Richards offensively. Saw her the past two nights, and while she is as good as Richards, she isn't better offensively yet. I think she will be though once she plays more at the collegiate level. I think ailes is a better defender than Richards though. She has some amazing digs that would not have been up on this team last year. This is the first time that I have felt Stanford was a good defensive team since Logan and Kerri were together. They are actually pretty good defensively. Their passing still needs some work though.

Her junior year she was amazing.

I remember how she was the go-to hitter for stanford after Cynthia (and Bryn) got injured in 2005. She came up with some amazing kills that year. However, Ailes will have more opportunity to get digs since she is the libero. Kristin Richards as an outside hitter did not have as many chances to get digs.

Dont get me wrong, Kristin was great and an amazing asset to the team. But even looking at the stats, Richards averaged 3.26 digs/gm last year and 3.55 her junior year. So far this year, Ailes (as a freshman) is averaging 4.26/gm and I think she will only get better.

Foluke is so impressive. Sort of like last year's Merriweather but without the knee slides. =D

Foluke is so impressive. Sort of like last year's Merriweather but without the knee slides. =D She is absolutely amazing. And she keeps getting better every year. I think she has the most potential of anybody on this team.

Agreed. Should have been the No1 recruit before Barboza and Larson. I think she wasn't rated higher because she didn't play in a club team. That and the fact that she had only been playin volleyball for 3 or 4 years, and we very raw her freshman year. She is getting so polished.
