Yeah that 2004 team with Arnott and BOOGER I mean Boogard was something! Fast tempo. We went what, 32-1 that year? Even got a number 1 ranking I remember....

Yep... but once Mason and Houston came along the next year the Wahine went back to the high outside ball, which the two did fairly well with last year

Anyway ... back to the main point of this subject ... Herring is the gem. Hewitt has potential to end up like Sanders and Gregory after two years of developing. I don't get this Jupiter gal... she sounds like getting her to UH would be more of a hassle than just recruiting someone else ... and besides ... do the Wahine REALLY need ANOTHER outside? Maybe she would be better off at USC. Just nab an unhappy camper from another school ... the Wahine are long overdue for yet another transfer that will disrupt the chemistry of the Wahine team next year. Haha ... oh man. Aloha. Can't wait to watch the game today. Should be fun, painful, exciting, excruciating, and maybe boring. maybe.

If Herring's height is too big an issue, give her the libero job! Stick with Houston, Keefe and Ferrell on the left! Kidding!
Wow, the LIBERO position is gonna be DEEP next year with Lee, Ka'aihue, Hittle, Otineru, Herring, Duggins and Kitaguchi.

Hittle may not have been in the top 50 but she was highly recruited and the local papers here made her sound like she was in the top 50. In true form, the local papers are again hyping up herring. She'll probably be great but I don't think its fair to put that kind of pressure on a high school recruit but it's happening everywhere. Some players have that natural talent to excel at the college and international levels. Remember Michelle Wie? As for Herring, I never read any hyping about her in the papers. I really don't know how she'll do in DIV I but I 've seen her play twice at the Anne Wang classic her junior year. She even outplayed Alix Klineman. She is rated up there. She beat out highly recruited HS OHs in the Durango Classic in Vegas earlier this year by making the 1st team all-tournament team. I really don't know what you're talking about because Kanani Herring did not play in the ANN KANG tournament her junior year when Alix Klineman was here...so I don't know what tournament you were watching...this year was the first year Kanani played in the Ann Kang Tournament!

If you want to run a fast offense what is the most important factor? PASSING. Herring is an excellent serve receive passer. I'm sure she will get a shot on the outside at some point. She will be a great contribution.

This picture was taken from a different angle. ofcourse it makes her look as if her body was half way above the net but it's not. Touching 10'3" on a running jump is very impressive....what is her reach on a standing jump?

She will be a great contribution. Why does everyone do that....yeah she's great but how do you know she'll be an excellent serve receive passer? Thats what we said about hittle look how many shakey passses, thats what we said about kaaihue...the problem with the wahine this year is their lack of good passess so if everyone was such a good passer in highschool how come in college they can't do it? I wouldn't rate her an excellent passer until she actually gets to pass in college where the level of volleyball is a thousand times better than of hawaii high school volleyball.

As long as Shoji is the coach, Hittle will start and play all-around.

as long as shoji is the coach she'll just play...evident today when she had numerous problems and was just the thorn in the wahine's side...she remained on the floor. IMO Hittle is a liability.
