I do not know about all of those options listed, but I doubt Reed and Anne are going anywhere also.

1) The guy they are talking about was a DI assistant elsewhere, so it isn't as if he was totally new to DI VB. 2) You assume that volleyball is a priority at UGA. Right now the program that is the most visible is the football program. I am thinking that Mark Richt is going to be gone at the end of the season, so the really priority is to find a top notch football coach, not volleyball coach. 3) If they are going to the bank to hire the next Vince Dooley, I doubt they will have the funds to please a famous colegiate coach. 4) Can they talk someone into moving? Not sure if there will be another Mike Hebert from Illinois to Minnesota move in the offing. Athens is very nice and the campus is gorgeous so I can see the attraction. 5) Once again, I would look at mid-major head coaches and first assistants at top programs. Bingo. Id go after Kellly Sheffield, Anne Kordes, Reed Sunahara, Erik Sullivan. Of course they will go after Salima Davidson as well. I think out of all of those Sullivan is the only likely one. Reed's not leaving Ohio, Anne loves SLU, and Sheffield is ensconced.

Interesting names. So the last few (4 or 5) years we have had Matt Peckand Geoff Carlson take over the mantle as the most likely mentioned name to replace someone when a job comes up. The Tim Cowie Award, so to speak. Now Ann's name has been mentioned the last couple of years. Kelly Sheffield is a new one. Who is the next hot name to be put on this pantheon?

Peck might still be a hot candidate for this job. Carlson and Sheffield, however, have found a home I think. The only job I can see Carlson leaving Ohio State for is Minnesota.

Id think that Georgia and programs with similar financial statements should look at some successful head coaches that might want an opportunity at better funding etc. How about Mitch Jacobs, Ray Gooden, Chuck Voss, Kelly Hartley or maybe a really successful d2 coach like Brady Starkey or Kim Cherniss

From what I heard about Anne is that she might be going for that Alabama job. I know she loves SLU but she might love the SEC a whole lot more!

Just KIDDING. I wonder if Anne is as tied to SLU as she used to be....I know that she didn't want to leave while the Assumption setter (Roth) was still there....no inside info here, just speculation.

They did give her a new contract two years ago. The program is pretty established, and now she is in her second rebuilding phase. I think she is in a pretty good position to gauge any and all suitors, she has a great job she doesn't need to look for another job, which is why it is good for her to be looking around. I feel that she won't leave unless they give her a lot in terms of compensation, support and staff, so that she can really compete in the recruiting wars.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned his perfect 0-4 record against Georgia Tech. ;D
