Tk is 50/50 Monica is going Nowhere! She will be back for sure. I'm confused. TK is a Junior and has already used her red shirt year. So she can't transfer anywhere and play, can she? Stauber, on the other hand, is a true Soph. she definitely can...not all transfers need to sit out a year...it's not a requirement in all cases but it's hard for me to see Tuaniga transfer out after being with the program for four years...although on the other hand she may transfer out to some place where she can finish her career on a high note being able to see the court

Adolpho needs to pick a sport. She should be the best at her position in one sport instead of being an average player in both.
If she worked in the off season on playing volleyball, she could be an even more explosive hitter and a quicker blocker. Because she plays basketball, she doesn't have the touches and time in the volleyball court that is required to become a great player. Most players come to college to develop into great players. Jordan didn't play baseball in college because he wanted to be the best basketball player.
Haggins and Tuaninga will have a great shot at taking the starting position. Tuaninga should take some swings on the right. She has the quickness and offense that can be utilized.
UH will need to find a right side that can be the third option. Every great team has a right side that can create offense. Hawaii in 2012 didn't have a right side that could block and create offense.
Goodman was the most steady on the right, but lacks offense and her blocking was weak at times. Kastle is the most explosive hitter, but is not a good blocker. Olevao has the potential to be the right side, but needs to get stronger to be a better blocker.
With addition of Taylor, the right side might be a good fight.
The 2012 team needed outside hitters. Olevao's activation demonstrated the lack of outside hitters. Kastle should play beach to become a better passer and develop more shots.
Stauber has a better knack on setting a more diverse offense, but because she lacks speed and blocking ability she doesn't get the start. If Stauber can become quicker to getting to the balls, and a better defender, it could be a three man race for setter.
Although it is good to have most of the team returning, it is a fair question on how much growth each player has left.
Croson and Hartong are prolific hitters, but will have to work on serve receiving, Croson will have to become a better blocker. Vorster will have to become quicker at transitioning and blocking. Longo stabilized the passing, she will be the captain next year.
They will have the leadership, but it'll be interesting how much they grow from the 2012 season.

Don't know how much neutral site record factors into seedings, but UH had no neutral site games until the NCAA's. They were the only team out of the 64 to not play on a neutral site before the post season. The Big West hopefully will fair better next year. CSUN returns most of their team. LB has a great coach. SDSU will be a nice addition. Boise St. will hurt the conference, but it'll give the team a nice travel change. Hope the middles and Uiato will not play beach and work in doors to get a better connection. I don't believe that plays any factor in seedings...I might be wrong and someone can correct me, but I don't believe location of matches play into RPI (whether it's home, away or neutral)

Hoping Wahine can also "score" some transfers.

I agree, Adolpho needs to focus solely on VOLLEYBALL. She's a damn good basketball player but all the glory in women's athletics at UH is with the volleyball program. How many people attend Wahine basketball games? Hardly any but a lot of people watch volleyball. She can be a BEAST on the vball court if she wanted too. She's good now but she has the potential to be amazing.

Longo stabilized the passing, she will be the captain next year. They will have the leadership, but it'll be interesting how much they grow from the 2012 season. I definitely agree about Adolpho, as I was saying that from last season that she has the potential to be a great middle blocker for the Wahine, but playing basketball definitely hurts her...Tuaniga and Haggins definitely have the chance to surpass Adolpho during the off-season therefore I hope Tuaniga stays and doesn't transfer because if she works hard during the off-season she can be right there challenging for that starting spot... I believe Vorster will be even better next season...one year of experience under her belt...and of course Longo will be the stud on the team as well running the back court for the Wahine... As it has been for many years the Wahine right side has been the issue, going back to the days of Kim/Lily, the Wahine have lacked that right side presence, when the Wahine can finally find that right side attack to greatly compliment their left side attack it will be hard to win another championship...now that the season has ended the Wahine should start now training girls for the right side...Olevao, Goodman, Kastl...not to mention maybe try Haggins or Tuaniga out there and see if they might be the answer for a right side attack for the Wahine...but with Nikki Taylor coming in for the Wahine it opens up a lot of options...Taylor will be coming in raw, but the same thing was said about Olevao, so Taylor could come in and surprise and make a huge impact for the Wahine... Stauber still has a lot of question marks...there were a lot of criticisms of Uiato's play, but I don't believe Stauber would have been the answer this season...in the few chance that Stauber had during critical matches this season I don't believe she bettered the offense either...I agree she brings a great spark to the Wahine when she is on the floor, but I believe she needs to work on her speed and her location of her sets...Uiato's location on her sets is better than Stauber...but like other's mentioned I do like that Stauber is fearless and tries to establish the middles every chance she gets... Croson and Hartong will be the studs of this team again next year...it is evident how much of an impact these two are for the Wahine...both of these players do have room for improvement in every aspect, as every player can improve if they take the time to work on their game...Hartong has come a long way in her serve receive...tonight they served Hartong every ball and she passed real well tonight IMO...Croson just needs to find her consistency...there is no quesiton she comes up in big matches, she just needs to maintain that consistency even when the Wahine are playing teams that aren't that great... I like the depth that the Wahine are returning next season hopefully all this depth will be a positive reinforcer for the Wahine...making each player push each other for every position, in turn making all the returning starters work extra hard to keep their positions! there are definitely great expectations and lots of excitement for next season already...but lets just say that this season was another great one, another disappointing finish, but it doesn't take away all that the Wahine achieved this season! good job this season and lets look forward to another great season next year!

But I'm not sure if volleyball does it. The RPI rankings on the NCAA website has Home-neutral-away records, so it is not out of questioning.

I think at least 3 girls will leave. I wouldn't be surprised to see transfers, but I think the one factor is that the team lived through this hellacious season, and next year should be the payoff. There will no longer be all these question mark next to their ranking, I think after tonight everyone knows what this team is capable of. Next season is all about getting ready for that deep playoff run.
