UPDATE:
Not much has changed in the Bid scenarios since a week ago. USC, PEP, UCLA, FSU, and Hawaii remain locks.
Nobody has pulled away in the hunt for East #2, East #3, or At-Large #2.
The NCAA has still not released final selection criteria, tournament manual, or committee info. 2 weeks to selection show!
CRITICAL MATCHES COMING SOON:
4/13 LBSU vs UCLA – LBSU desperately needs this for a Significant Win and Common Opponent edge versus At-Large teams. Even if they win this, they probably still need to beat Pepperdine or Hawaii (in WCC tourney) to have a chance. Since they have no Head-to-Head with East teams, it will also depend on what the final selection criteria is, to compare them. UCLA WINS 5-0
4/15 GSU vs FSU – GSU may be barely ahead of a few teams for East #2/#3. But they need to beat FSU or UNF this weekend to give themselves a buffer in Significant Wins and Common Opponents. Otherwise they could easily get passed by a couple of teams during conference tournaments and left out of NCAA. FSU WINS 3-2
4/16 UNF vs GSU – UNF needs this to remain in contention for East #3. Besides being a Significant Win, it also helps them a lot in Common Opponents. Otherwise, they will need to beat Stetson twice in ASUN and hope other teams lose. Even if they win this, UNF will probably need at least a split with Stetson in ASUN to have a good chance. GSU WINS 3-2 ALSO, UNF GOT TWO BAD LOSSES TO TULANE AND CofC! THIS IS THE HELP THAT OTHER EAST TEAMS NEEDED TO REMAIN IN THE HUNT.
4/19 LBSU vs Pepperdine - LBSU desperately needs this for a Significant Win and Common Opponent edge versus At-Large teams. Even if they win this, they probably still need to beat UCLA or Hawaii to have a chance. Since they have no Head-to-Head with East teams, it will also depend on what the final selection criteria is, to compare them. PEP WINS 5-0
