Brit announcer said the Dutch team had apparently lost its collywaddles? I guess it is like we say a team has had the yips and has recovered.  |

As good as Barnett looks, can't say the same for his Broadcasting skills.
Sometimes I almost think he roots for the other teams.

I have thought that Paul Sunderland and Kevin Barnett have been awesome on indoor volleyball. The atmosphere inside that arena has probably helped. That looks like a really fun venue to be at all week.

..snip was it barnett or some beach color commentator (blanton?) who was all too often rambling on about teams needing to show emotion or fire or whatever instead of having something interesting to say - glad i'm not hearing that lately. upon reading more of the thread which improved my memory i'm sure it was barnett doing the vapid "emotion" blather to fill the empty space .. he is lucky to have the gig i'd say, as his voice/delivery is sorta like the 1950/1960 "duck and cover" pedantic voice overs. too many of his stories are egocentric, but i guess that's what he remembers best.. lol |

Is it just me or does anyone else find the Sunderland and Barnett commentary condescending and obnoxious? They speak like they are lecturing the viewer and or athletes at times. Give me that British commentator any day. lol.. which one? i bet "mute" is your preferred commentator |
