Nick not looking as crisp today, couple hitting errors early. However, MEX is not siding out well.

Anyone else notice the large amount of open seats in the beach stadium for most of the matches?

Anyone else notice the large amount of open seats in the beach stadium for most of the matches? Not only beach but I have noticed that in nearly every arena except for gymnastics which appear to be quite full

USA basketball game is the only time I have seen one arena that was full.

I did notice there were a lot of people at the US men's B-ball. Not sure why, it was always going to be a blowout anyway, I fell asleep twice watching it

Pedro and Evandro are in BIG trouble. Lost first 2 matches in pool and will be facing a VERY steady Latvian team for the last match. Those guys (Latvians) had close to 0 errors against Canada.

Pool D in men's has been an absolute treat to watch. Three clearly underanked teams in Somoilovs/Smedins (#1 this year's tour), Schalk/Saxton (#7 this year's tour), the relatively unknown Cubans who don't compete on the world tour, along with Evandro/Pedro
All three games so far have gone down to the wire in the 3rd, where the Cubans pulled a huge upset over Brazil, and the Canadians went 13-15 against Latvia and 16-14 against Brazil.
Just now the Cuba vs Latvia game finished and Cuba proved their first win was not a fluke, winning the game in 3 sets

Fendi/Sweat not putting up much resistance against Larissa/Talita, they fall in 2 21-16 21-13. Pretty sure we won't expect them to make much noise if they somehow sneak into the knockout round.
I'm really surprised by that Cuban team, they have 2 great wins in that pool already. The Pedro/Evandro vs. Samoilovs/Smedins match is going to be huge, Bra needing it to make the medal round they'll be battling.
