Larissa now going on two whenever she can. The Swiss defender, everytime Talita drops, hits at Larissa, only the best defender there is. This match should have been over.

Match was very close but Brazil's ball control bailed them out.

Match was very close but Brazil's ball control bailed them out. The Swiss hitting every third ball out is what bailed them out. Lucky win for Brazil. A more composed team would have sent them home in two. Talita was shaky last match as well, interested to see if she ups her game versus Germany

Russia was up on agatha/barbara 18-13 in first set and ended up losing 23-21 It was a wasted opportunity for the Russians who were leading for more than 5 points only to lose the set. I was secretly rooting for the Russians just to silence the crowd.

Should Walsh-Ross gets that quarterfinals win over the Aussies, I think this Brazilian pair of Agatha/Barbara is very beatable.

Looks like they're going to lose this second set too, but I was hoping they could get that first one when they went on that run

Agatha and Barbara are through to the semis. Faces the winner of Walsh-Jennings/Ross vs Australia.

I haven't seen Kerri block this well since 2008. She's upped her game so much. The fact that April is back to getting most of the serves says it all. April is also finally playing the defense she is more than capable of.
I don't see Kerri/April losing. I'm expecting Germany to steamroll Larissa/Talita. I don't see Agatha/Barbs being able to do much against the USA. It's not a good matchup for Brazil when the USA is on.

Don't know why Lucena's not cut shotting when he's set off the net.

Sucks having such an important match being played in these conditions. Wind's the ultimate test of skill and ball control! Couldn't be better!
