I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a very similar team save maybe one outside and a setter. Not sure who could compete coming up.. obviously the next quad has just begun so we shall see but I had a much clearly picture of what the team was going to look like coming out of London... I still saw Tom and Hooker on the team, but I felt Glass, Murphy, Robinson, Vansant, Hodge would be the stars of RIO. I was close. Never saw Hill or Lowe coming so who could be the HIll/Lowe of 2020?

Most active posters mocked me two years ago when I said Lowe should be back up to Hooker in Rio.

Alhassan should be in the gym already and starting with Akinradewo from now on. Doesn't matter she's still developing.

But really moot point since we have to wait for 2021 before the ashes can be swept away and rebuilding begins.

Not gonna happen. Team USA is extremely pleased with the rebuilding of the program culture after 2012. If you're looking for rebuilding in 2021 it's not going to happen. You might as well give up watching, following, posting, etc. now because you're not gonna get what you want. Good to know ya, see ya never!

It didn't stop Karch (with Beal's blessing). A new CEO is ALWAYS interested in putting his or her own stamp. With the results of this quad in mind, I can easily see there being a push to promote growth and change. That push might not be obvious at the beginning for political reasons (the Board will push for stability and order given the current contract situations), but it will come eventually, and soon I believe, when the new CEO becomes more established in the position.

The next significant one will be the World Grand Prix, I guess. Not sure when the next World Cup is.

Anyway, all the players will be with their pro teams until the spring.
