Jen? What the @#$@. Are they running a 3 setter offense? Why isn't Amanda in there.
Stupid freshman. She needs to stay away from the net. I hope she gets hazed in her first week of school.

Me too... hopefully just a sprain that doesn't affect her for the rest of the season... except maybe the matches against Wisconsin... (kidding.. i'd rather beat them full force -- if that happens)

Phew. Here goes.
We pick up Game 4 at 19-18. MN leads.
19-18. MN TO. USC serves (their "other" setter). Martin kill. 20-18. Paula x-ct dig, Adams called for lift/double 21-18. Nelson blocked by Adams 21-19 Burdine to serve for USC, Taatjes called for bhe on the set (I'll leave the whining to someone else here) 21-20 Burdine serves again. Martin blocked by Adams. 21-21 Burdine's serve. Martin gets a kill off the block 22-21 KBow to serve...kill USC 22-22 Adams to serve, Rhino pass, set goes outside to Marty for the x-ct kill 23-22 Peniata in and back to serve...service error 23-23 Freiburg (?) serves for USC...Peniata with the pass, Bratford with the x-ct kill 24-23 Nelson serves an easy one, Candelas with the kill on first ball 24-24 Robinson to serve for USC..Peniata with the pass, KBow sets outside to Bratford...Kill 25-24 Taatjes serves.. Robinson with the kill out of the back row 25-25 Candelas serves, Peniata passes, Bratford goes x-ct for the kill 26-25 Rhino in for Bratford (who is gimpy on the knee?), Adams gets the K on her second attempt at a tip over the block. (Hardly anything is falling--the defense on both sides is phenomonal.) 26-26 USC to serve, Rhino with the pass (not so hot), and Taatjes called for the double contact (THERE IS NO JUSTICE!!!) 26-27 Rhino with the pass again, Marty hits it out (BUT IT WAS OFF THE BLOCK!!!) 26-28 TO MN. Bad pass, really an ace. Bummer 26-29 game point USC Rhino with the pass, Taatjes gives the slide to Byrnes, who gets a kill (she has a great smile, I can see it now) 27-29 Gentil back to serve (things look hopeful for the Gophs) jump float, Burdine is dug...Martin with the kill 28-29, TO USC. Gentil with another jump float, Burdine dug again, Marty is dug,...Burdine with the kill to end the game.
USC wins game 4 30-28.
All tied up going into game 5.
