Found my first error in teams selection criteria, I am sure there will be more. Please double check my work above.
Error was forgetting FAU beat LSU at start of season. That is huge and keeps them in the East bid #3 race.
Is nobody else going to calculate SoS for the bubble teams?? Really?
I am not going to be able to do it, as I just have phone access this week.

East bid #3 race:
Winner of FIU versus SCarolina match must also do one of these: 1. Beat FSU or LSU 2. Win SoS versus TCU 3. Advance to CCSA final
Winner of GSU versus FAU match must also do two of these things: 1. Beat FSU or LSU 2. Win SoS vs TCU 3. Advance to CCSA final
TCU needs neither of those to happen. They will be rooting for the other 6 teams in CCSA.

I watched FIU this week and they were not nearly as good as I expected. Of the teams I have seen play, I would put them behind FAU, LSU, South Carolina and healthy Stetson.

Cal Poly is a lock for the #3 seed. I'm assuming Long Beach will be #1 seed based on beating Hawaii earlier this year. And the #1 seed has a huge huge advantage in the Big West tournament I'm not a big fan of the Big West tournament format - I realize it's beach volleyball, but I don't think they put much thought into some of the competitive aspects of tournament at times with the schedule on the final day. thinking that a team could potentially have to win 4 straight matches on the 2nd day, after possibly playing only 1 match on the 1st day is silly I wish they'd make it a 3 day touranment with the final two matches the 3rd day, and space out the matches more on the 2nd day - that's so much better competitively and for quality the #2 vs. #3 semi-final is going to be huge in the outcome of the Big West tournament www.bigwest.org/sports/wbvball/info/champs/

Thanks for the correction on the big West tournament dates. I must have looked at it wrong.
I don't much like the format either but I'm pretty confident long beach and Hawaii will face each other in a double elim bracket.

South Carolina defeated FIU this morning for the third time this season so it appears you are correct. South Carolina now has the best chance at displacing TCU for East bidd number 3

It could be pretty windy , ( or foggy too) in pismo, so there might be some surprises

I have like SCU chances all along, FIU and GSU losing today kinda puts them in that E3 seed. Of course I say this, so that means GSU will beat LSU tomorrow, lol, making it a 3 way tie with FAU.. Who really knows..
