I’ll tell you what’s a joke. The fact that you keep trying to diminish the achievements and hard work both of athletes and all those who are making schedules and working to make things possible. We are in a pandemic. Everyone is trying their best to make the best of the situation we are in. People like you are the worst. Just stfu and appreciate the fact that we as fans have something to watch and talk about and let the athletes play. right back at you with stfu. I can feel however i want. I don’t give a crap about sports during pandemic. More important things to worry about then a game. That’s why I said it’s ridiculous any of these leagues are playing. The pandemic only seems to be dangerous and top priority to people when it suits them it seems. Bunch of hippocrits. If it was truely as dangerous as everyone was making it out then there should be no sports period. Very simple. People can’t play both sides the line. You don't care about sports but you DO care about repeatedly telling everyone here that you don't care about sports... on a sports forum? And you don't like emotional people but you DO think everyone should share your opinion that all sports are currently illegitimate and if they don't, they're hippocrits [sic]. Makes sense, definitely no logical fallacies there. I think I understand what you're saying but you've said it a lot now so do you think you could go back to your 'sports boycott' without feeling the need to repeatedly inform VT of that boycott? This is not the place to have this discussion. If you're really not happy about this season, fine, but talk about in "Off the Net" or start your own thread.
Heck, no one knows if the Olympics will happen in July-August, or what the start of the Fall 2021 NCAA women's VB season will look like.

Well, I guess the every-NCAA-tourney streak will come to an end this season. Going to be hard to make it with not playing so many matches. The Stanford Daily mentions that it takes 10 matches to qualify for the NCAA tournament this Spring. If PS is a la match or 2 short, you might be able to stuff extra matches in if PS is willing to travel for make-ups (or something). WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL Spring schedule set for women’s volleyball By James Hemker on January 20, 2021 Due to Santa Clara County Public Health Department’s current emergency directive, the Cardinal’s first two weeks of competition against USC and Colorado have been canceled. Stanford has 18 remaining matches, which is well above the modified minimum of 10 matches for eligibility in the NCAA tournament. That also assumes we're good enough to deal with the lost matches. |

A tourny this year will be a farce. It’s not a real season. That sounds like you are worried about your team and are preparing an excuse ahead of time. Every season involves resiliency, perseverance and yes, luck. This season will test mental and physical fortitude more than pretty much any season that has come before. Will this season be very different than last season? Of course. Does Covid make it less of a season? Eye of the beholder. In many ways the crucible of this season will bring out heroics where you didn't expect them, and will be even more exciting to watch. Too bad for you if you choose just to complain, don't watch and miss it. |
