Any results for the women's final? Haven't been able find it and the site doesn't list the result. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere.

Go on Facebook to the Waupaca Boatride Page. The finals are on there.

Classic V-talk non-AVP tourney, talk about triples all week, and then day of, we have no idea if it even happened or not, let alone if anything streamed. And if you look at the Waupaca Boatride Facebook page, you wouldn't even know that triples existed. I feel like I am in an episode of Mr Robot.

Watched most of it. Pretty boring actually. The small lefty killed Troy and bomgrens.

Those Worsley brothers were awesome. A couple of 6'1 dudes just owning a big man's game.

Also not sure they made the best use of Troy having him set all the time I am sure if you facebook search or wait and see if people get tagged over the next couple days, there were quite a few courts that had small tripods set up for what I assume was facebook/insta live. Losing Shamrock forced them to play 3 all day and I thought Brian played really well. Tim did set for some matches and Troy's passing was suspect but overall they were one of the stronger teams there. Kind of strange to see such a small field of divisions there but was really cool to get the old school feel back from about 5/6 years ago or so on of people lining up rows deep sitting and standing to watch semis and finals. Semis was Bom/Bom/Field - v Dentler and Worley Bros -v- Michelau, both matches were fun. Woman was Gaffney -v- Spieler, all the videos should be up on the facebook page but not sure how many, there were people saying some of the cameras were damaged or not working correctly.

Nice quick write up by Travis, lots of great players showed up this weekend, hopefully this kind of attendance continues when things are back to normal and some of the regular open teams that stayed away due to covid concerns, or not getting signed up before the cap all come back into the mix with this years newcomers. volleyballmag.com/wapaca-boatride-071220/

That makes a lot of sense. I thought Tim seemed to be going less than 100% on some sets, so perhaps it was conserving energy. Any idea if Brian has any aspirations to play some AVP with a new partner or if that lefty may try to qualify?

Really fun to watch that small team win it all playing a complete game and pretty much walk through the entire tournament. Normally I can't stand watching the grass game banger style, but that team gave me hope.

Also not sure they made the best use of Troy having him set all the time That team was unstoppable on offense. Neither Bomgren or Troy could get anywhere close to the attack. They almost would have been better putting both Troy and Bomgren at the net and have the non blocker pull but that isn't going to work either at that level.

Gage had a couple nice jumbos when they did double block. It was a bit sketchy getting a fresh player not on their roster to play the finals but it made for a better finals having that team get there.
