Final match of Lauren and Lexi. Probably the same for Kayla too and maybe Nicklin and Callie. I’m already gonna miss all of them especially Lauren’s slides. I’m not ready 😭💔💔 They have just got to get Kayla back for another year! GBR

Obviously, the team that best wins first touches has an advantage. In the points and how each point transpires. Wisconsin, has had the edge, for several seasons now in winning over Nebraska. They have huge motivation as seniors, the veterans and winning Wisconsin’s first ever volleyball national championship. The pressure as the heavy favorite is there but pressure is on Nebraska too.
This Nebraska squad eerily resembles the Stanford national championship squad of 2016. They had four freshmen in huge roles. Nebraska has three freshmen in huge roles. Both Stanford and Nebraska had the number one recruiting classes of 2016 and 2021, respectively. Stanford had seven losses in the regular season but put it all together to win in the last match of the season. Nebraska has seven losses and the opportunity to win the last match of the season. Both Stanford and Nebraska had huge regular season ups and downs. Stanford put it all together. Nebraska is one win from the same scenario.
Nebraska has grown in this NCAA tournament from the hostile, road win at number two seed Texas to the semifinal victory over an experienced under appreciated Pitt team of real good ability. Wisconsin, against number one seed Louisville, won in a coin flip in the guess I made for a win in five sets. I also thought Nebraska would win in four against PItt and their quick and fast offense and tempo. It took awhile to adjust to their game. But Nebraska did and it didn’t take another future date to adjust and find a way to win. Nebraska, will have to do the same tonight. I think the whole team WILL continue to improve, especially the more seasoned two freshmen pin hitters, who will collectively lead Nebraska to victory. I think Nebraska wins in five sets against a really good, balanced and tall Wisconsin team.

You’d be gaining improved left front blocking which vs Wisconsin is critical . I honestly do t think a left wrist injury would keep her from playing. If it does, Nebraska will be forced to play an experienced all American. Poor Huskers Badgers haven't seen Sun much this year. Batenhorst played most of both matches. Not true. Sun played the second match all 4 sets. Ally was in one set and took 1 swing. Lexi had 7 kills and 7 errors for 000 hitting percentage. She also was involved with 4 blocks. The roles were reversed in the first match. Ally had 5 kills and 6 errors and 1 solo block.

Anni Evans Wins NCAA Elite 90 Award
Sophomore setter Anni Evans is the recipient of the Elite 90 Award for the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship, it was announced Thursday. Evans, a psychology major, carries a 3.972 grade-point average. She was honored during Thursday evening's NCAA Semifinal match at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Evans is a homegrown Waverly High School product. She was named Academic All-Big Ten this season and is also a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team. Evans' Elite 90 recognition is the third in Nebraska volleyball history, as she joins two-time winner Sydney Townsend (2016, 2017). NU has counted 14 Elite 90 winners across all sports. The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships. Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above academically who have participated in a sport for at least two years with their school. All ties are broken by the number of credits completed. For more information on the Elite 90 award winners, visit ncaa.com/elite-90.

A lot has been made of Wisconsin’s height. I don’t think that’s the problem at all. The problem is that they’re good. We practice against more height and blocking than Wisconsin. Wisconsin seems to save their best defense of the year for us every time we play. That’s been the main problem. I think we’ll win. We must serve lights out. I hope someone steps up out of the ordinary.

15–12 again. That 7—0 start just too much for us.
