As a non-Nebraska fan, I can't think of one player I've enjoyed watching (even when she was beating my teams) more than Lauren Stivrins. Her growth from year to year was so motivating. Truly one of the highest flying slide hitters with an amazing attitude and who you could tell loved her team. I'm grateful you were able to come back for one more season, Lauren. Unquestionably one of the best reasons to tune into a Nebraska match.  |

I’m beyond proud of this team. I don’t think anyone of us (or any poster on VT lol) thought they would be in the championship match at any point of the season until after the regionals. This team and their post season run made for one of the most memorable and special seasons I’ve followed. Sucks to lose by three again, but these players will be back.
Stivrins is one the most absolute amazing Husker volleyball players in history. Tonight wasn’t her’s or anyone’s best match, but man she goes hard on every point. Hames, if she chooses to move on, will be missed for her leadership, unmatched defensive tenacity, and fearlessness. Man what a competitor. Such an amazing season and what a hard fought match. This hurts just as much as 2018 lol

I know I said I don’t care about the results tonight. Yeah, that was a lie. But congratulations to Wisconsin for their first ever national championship. Super duper proud of this team. Currently bawling my eyes for Stivrins and the seniors.

Exemplified by the shot of Madi and Lexi walking off the court last night with their arms around each other. Awe man. I heart this team.
