I could see Sun, Kubik, Knuckles and Stivrins on the Olympic Team in 2024. Lol

And apparently wearing scarlet colored glasses. The odds of even one of those four being on the 2024 Olympic VB team are astronomical. I'd bet a fair amount of money that none of them ever come close to being on a US Olympic team.

But the others I do agree with Madi was only a Sophomore last season. I can't say what the odds are that she will be an Olympian, but with 2-3 more years of college experience and 4-5 years of professional play she could be a much different player by the time 2028 rolls around.

Lauren Stivrins is the only one who may have a shot at an Olympic indoor team. You need to have a single focus and then be lucky. Larson has put in 12 years now and for almost all of it less 2020 it has been with little time off.

I’m a huge fan and she’s a Marvelous player who will keep improving. But she’s not an explosive enough athlete. She can have a nice pro career somewhere but I don’t think Olympics are in her future.

Stivrins to me is like Tapp, will be a pro, may do a stint with NT but in the end not quite that level.

I would say that puts her “on that level” and reaching the same success as Tapp would be an amazing accomplishment for most. So this comment is actually just dumb

There's an opportunity there if the cards fall correctly. There's not too many middles that have accomplished what she has in the B1G/NCAA.

Are you suggesting alternates "aren't quite that level"? Was Glass not Olympic level in 2012? Was Fawcett not worthy of olympic level compared to olympic level Murphy in 2016?

So we had some discussion on here before about the USAV U20 team relating to Krause. Now we have that official release. Krause is joined by Batenhorst and Rodriguez on the roster. The training period is June 28-July 8 in Vegas, as if Sin City needed more volleyball during that time period. The 20-player training team is pared down to 12 for U20 Worlds from July 9-18.

You beat me to it Hopefully we see all three make it to the worlds team (Krause probably wont)

It is a well deserved honor to be selected to this training program and congratulations are in order for Alley, Lexi and Lindsay as well as the other players.
That being said, Kennedi Orr being left off the list raises some questions. Is she healthy? Was she snubbed? In either case, this can just be seen as a bump in the road for a career that has and will contain many honors and opportunities.
