Way too early to be speculating about 2024 Olympic team. Started by Husker fan fantasizing (is "fan" short for "fantasy" jj), but still way too early IMO. Let's celebrate the current team members accomplishments. Plenty for Husker fans to crow about there, and we have been.🤩 With respect to fall 2021, Huskers appear to have depth at all positions. Competition for playing time will be intense. That is especially true at the libero position. Personally I'm happy to wait and see what the competition brings. Wish all the players the best. Glad I am not the coach that must decide who plays where and when. I find such decisions stressful, because they are all good players, work hard and deserving. Quite a change going from being one injury away from playing a DS at OH or a Freshman Middle at Opp to possibly not having enough balls to go around. All-in-all, I prefer the latter problem over the former. 😊😊😊 Agree!

I actually love it, may the best persons win!

Many already have, and with the 5th yr seniors returning to many teams both the scholarship $$ and playing opportunities may be limited. Just speculating. Hope that we get everyone back and that the coaches can get quality playing time to as many players as possible. With respect to the number of quality players on the team, this year is different than any other IMO. Hope the coaches can optimize playing time for all, as this is a hard working and deserving group of players.

They want it handed to them. If you're on a scholie then do your work. Perfect example is the backup qb from Nebraska that transferred to Louisville because he was #2 and then is leaving Louisville even before the season starts because the starting job isn't being handed to him. I blame parents for a lot of this mess in college sports and the NCAA has made it too easy to transfer. This is also a huge issue in Nebraska HS sports as well, too easy to transfer.

Who do you think they are?

I see your point, but I cannot fault one for seeking better options elsewhere. Especially if they are 2nd string behind a classmate with same or more remainnng eligibilty. Or if they are not finding a good fit at their present school. Or just see better opportunities elsewhere. Better to transfer than remain as an unhappy team member IMO. Nothing wrong with a person trying to optimize their opportunities. In fact that was good advice I received mid-career (not athletics). You need to make decisions on what is best for your career and happiness. Just the way things are IMO. Hate to see them go, but sometimes it is for the best for all. I dont begrudge transfers. Wish the the best.

I don't think that a player should be considered to be highly likely to transfer unless they are playing behind a firmly established underclassmen.
To use the DS/L example, Knuckles, Akana and Rodriguez are all elite athletes who have fought for and won starting jobs in the past and probably feel they are likely to do it again. If Rodriguez wins the starting job and has a stellar season, (I'm not predicting she will) then next season the other two players might be possible transfers.

I'm not impressed with the non-con schedule. The one good thing for Nebraska residents is that with so many matches being held in Nebraska, we might get a lot of matches on TV by NET.

At least with Utah they’ll get to face Drew’s…
Maybe they can teach Arizona State how to pass
