With all these elite athletes, can Nebraska break the Badger curse? The Badger Curse is never winning a national volleyball championship. They have a great coach and a great team. While the Badgers got to the championship game three times and lost, Nebraska won five national championships and also lost some additional championship games. Other comparisons are just talk. Posts like this are Championship Envy. Stay calm. Wisconsin will win a championship. (Posted by a Big Ten grad who did not graduate from either school.)

The only way I see Jordan coming back to Nebraska is if her soon to be husband (I think they are engaged if I remember correctly) has a job here, if or when a Men's VB team gets started in Nebraska. I could see him and Jordan work as a HC/AC and build up a team. I know there was talk about UNO not sure if that is still a possible. Maybe she will be a VC for David at Pepperdine? Does she still want to play but just here in the states? Athlete's Unlimited? It seems like someone will hire them as a package deal. David has coached both guys and girls at the highest levels. I heard he’s helping the U18 girls right now. Jordan has the experience as a player. Pepperdine’s latest volunteer just became Stanford’s newest assistant. One season with the men is all Jordan needs. I’m not sure why Cook wouldn’t try to bring them both in. Someone definitely will.

Not so sure NE will have room for husband and wife assistant coach team any time soon. Also a husband and wife coaching team could work, but that's far from a given and might not be something they may want to do. I grew up in a family business owned and operated by my parents. It's not for everyone and not something I would do. Marriage is hard enough without adding that dynamic. But for others it works great.

1. Show Biz ain't easy 2. ACL injuries are non-trivial. 3. Speaking of podcasts and Wisconsin, Kelly was on the Arias podcast last week. He mentioned that unlike some other programs, Wisconsin is not "transactional" with its players and NIL is not the first thing they mention with recruits. Ha, he's always negative recruiting vs. the Huskers. I would love to see the Huskers run out for pre-game introductions in Madison wearing some sort of advertising, just to troll 'em.

If you are referring to the Nick & Lo Podcast, they should have no problem with the technical support and equipment from NU, and maybe able to get college credit for it as a special studies project. Would that preclude them from getting NIL income at the same time? I don't think so. ACL injuries are serious, but my understanding is that Lauren had a back injury. Kennedy Ohr had the ACL injury. The last thing NE needs to do is troll WI or anyone else. But the thought of it was entertaining🤣

Imagine if the whole team did the red hair thing. Definitely some NIL income potential there...

And has been one of the best national team players in history, and maybe someday, if she puts her mind to it she may be a great coach. . . but I wouldn’t trade her for Tyler . . . she is a great player, he is a great coach. I think Nebraskans understand turning a great player into a great coach is not always easy. . . .in fact we have been reminded of this the past 3 years during Saturdays in the fall. As for David, he can only be described as someone who took over as the head men’s vb coach at Pepperdine 5 years ago from a legendary men’s coach-to thus far mediocre results. I don’t believe people appreciate the all consuming grind it takes to be someone like John Cook or Russ Rose. . . I am sure it is similar to the grind Larson has been on for the past 13+ years as a player. Jordan Larson is not going to be the head volleyball coach at Nebraska. . .

Nebraska Public Media (formerly known as NET) schedule for 8/21 has: 7:30-8:30 The Best of Celtic Women 8:30-9:00 Empty program block 9:00-9:30 Nebraska Volleyball: Culture of A Champion 9:30-10:00 Empty program block The other programs in the days before and after 8/21 look like the shows they like put on during a fund drive. No offense to Celtic Women but it looks like a great show to preempt for a Red-White Volleyball Game.
