China-Brazil in the quarters please. They didn't get enough of Zhu Ting in 2016 as a Chinese fan I think you'd much rather Japan, Dominicana, or Korea ....

I like Carlini a lot, however, Poulter was really impressive in this match. Both are at the top of my list right now. I would also like to echo all of the praises for JWO's performance so far in the tournament.
Even if Wilhite-Parsons ends up not making the Tokyo roster, I'm glad that she is playing well for Team USA. Anyone who watched her matches in the Turkish league knew that she had made great improvements.

Nice to see nothing's changed. Setters B-, C team. Parsons not tall enough to stay semi-lucky like Hill. Plummer in serve receive's egregious malfeasance, circus freakshow. Elders Larson and Radewo still best options in their positions.
Karch muzzled only progress made.

This 2021 is a way for them to integrate into that.

This forum was so quick to give up on JWO years before the Olympics. I think when she opted not to go overseas, people had questions. Then she wasn’t able to hang. She went to Germany, and voila.

I thought Poulter did great, she got a lot of the hitters a one on one situation with the block. I think she needs to work on blocking and backrow defense but for me she looked like a purely talented setter than knows how to run an offense

I've watched all 3 USA matches from start to finish. USA fans are fortunate to have 2 excellent setters, with very different personalities and strengths. But OMG, many of those Poulter back set slides to Foluke and Washington were jaw-dropping. The speed and connection were things of beauty. And overall she runs as fast an offense as you're going to see from Team USA.
Also really great performances by SWP, JWO, and Larson. That was the best I've ever seen SWP play, especially given the caliber of competition. JWO imho is exactly the kind of Libero this team needs. Her quickness and tenacity out there seemed to pick up the defensive play of everyone else. And Larson...is there anything she can't do? Talk about a consummate professional.
Getting back to the setters, I think it's a great strength for the USA coaches to be able to run two different lineups in a long tournament like this with daily matches. It allows them to custom assemble each team for match-ups and to have a fresh squad almost every match. Go Carlini. Go Poulter. Go Team USA.

I love the mix of old and new with this team. And of course I'm LOVIN seeing JWO proving she deserves that libero spot. She looks in GREAT shape! Would be really cool to see 3 ex-Huskers on the floor in Tokoyo!!!
