the world championships in 2022 may delay some decisions (Larson) Krob and MBH will be around. Courtney at OH will be interesting, with the emergence of SWP/Plummer plus the plethora of young OHs in Europe right now Court is still better passer than almost everyone... Her as a paring next to Plummer at Imoco is going to be nice. I think there will be plenty of matches where we see both Plummer and Courtney (and of course they can all play in CL) but we will regularly see one of them sit, but not because they’re “benched” as much as they can’t both be on the court at the same time as Wolosz and de Kruijf. (I think we will also see a lot of Fahr+Folie and Fahr+de Kruijf - so when it’s Folie playing, both Americans can play. When de Kruijf plays, it’ll likely be with Sylla at one of the OH slots.)

I'm pretty sure the Italian League rule is four foreigners on court, not three. I think Sylla will likely start over Plummer with Courtney at OH2, but Plummer will probably come in for Sylla often the way Adams did. Then Folie/Fahr, De Kruijf, Wolosz, Egonu, and De Gennaro can fill out the rest.

Still, though - Courtney, Plummer, de Kruijf, and Wolosz can’t all play together unless one of Plummer, Courtney, or Wolosz is subbed out when de Kruijf comes in... and we know that won’t happen with few subs allowed.. which takes us back to my original point I think.

You can only have two from the same federation

Unrelated to the thread topic, but is Plummer’s move to Imoco a good one or is / was there a team that fit her goals better?

I probably wasn’t paying attention so I’ll have to go back and look - I am thinking if Adams, Hill, and Wolosz were in then the middles playing must have been Folie and Fahr.

She might struggle with Wolosz's tempo, but getting used to fast can only help her versatility. Plus, she gets to play in the Italian League and the CL, especially if she consistently replaces Sylla, which I think she will. Santarelli seems like a good passing coach and just a good coach in general. Also, Imoco is a good org for player support, I remember they gave Chi an Italian tutor + most of the starters speak English anyways. Generally, I think it's a good idea, the only problem might be getting enough match time.

She has the capability and the VB IQ, I really hope she continues to improve. I want to see her in more than 1-2 rotations in the serve receive lineup in matches with Imoco lol

This next year is about development, not "breaking out".

I agree that greatness doesn't come quickly at this level and that she has a lot of work to do. But I mean is it so bad to say that I would love to see her have a great year in 2022... and I did admit I was exaggerating lol.
