If you can score 17 points against ANYONE, you stay in that league, pro, am, or otherwise . . . Everyone wants to play "up", so why would a pro retire, quit, etc. ?

If you can score 17 points against ANYONE, you stay in that league, pro, am, or otherwise . . . Everyone wants to play "up", so why would a pro retire, quit, etc. ? I think for Kerri the worry may be injuries. If you watched the last couple years, a lot of the time she was sort of trying to get by half swinging. In big matches or when she was feeling good she would take full swings (the Cancun match against Ana/Rebcca for example) but she often seemed to be protecting her shoulder. I'd love to see her continue, but only if she can get a competitive partner. Im a Brooke fan, but seeing Kerri out there trying to drag her into competition. As I understand it, the Maestrinis are eligible to compete on the AVP - I don't know that, someone else said it - and I would love to see Kerri/Larissa team up and teach these youngsters how to compete. Yes I know thats unrealistic but still.

What do you mean? These Franklin products are brought to you by an Olympian!* *the term Olympian meaning present and/or past Olympians, some of which may not have actually qualified for this current Olympics run and are losing relevancy in the sport, but if we don't mention it then maybe the general population will buy the crap none the less.People just want to knock Kerri no matter what. Imagine how stupid someone would sound implying that names like Mary Lou Retton or Mark Spitz shouldn't be prefaced by the world Olympian. But Kerri, who accomplished massively more in the Olympics than either, she should be treated like yesterday's garbage by sponsors, sure that makes sense. Funny you never objected when the AVP broadcast staff used the word Olympian to apply to last place finishers Brooke Sweat and Lauren Fendrick to OCD levels As we start the current Olympics, I would say that former Olympians should be referred to as former-Olympians, to clarify they are not in the current Olympics to the general public. I don't think that has any negative connotation to it in most cases. If Kerri went onto a talkshow and started talking about the Olympics, do you not feel it seems silly to act like she is in the Olympics and not clarifying that? My main issue, which is way less now that she is near the end of her career, is that Kerri only seems to care about Kerri. That feeling is unchanged. Outside of the Olympic period, sure, go ahead and call everyone an Olympian, which they are if they qualified. No one in December of an off year is confused by this.

www.instagram.com/tv/CRu8wQ_FsBg/Kerri hasn’t decided whether to hang it up or continue competing and try for Paris. She’s going to be doing some remote work for NBC’s coverage of the Tokyo games. This was cool. I've become less of a fan of kerri recently, especially with some of the odd alt-right propaganda she'll post now and then and her clear carelessness in regards to covid. But I thought this vid was really great to see her take and the respect she has for the young guns. It was also nice to see her take responsibility. I always found it irritating when people would dump all their lack of success this year on Brooke. Brooke plays very consistently IMO and everyone knew, including Kerri, that she was not going to be adding a hammer of a swing or crazy strong side-out game to the team. They could only win if Kerri was on top of her game and able to terminate all Brooke's passes on two, secure a few blocks, and limit her unforced errors which it seemed like were all too frequent this year. I'd love to see Kerri continue but she will definitely need an incredible defender that can carry her through her slumps, she's not going to be able to really carry anyone at this point. Duda is exactly what she needs, too bad she's one of a kind. It'd be interesting to see if she'd play with hughes now for a few tournaments or a season.... Is kerri signed up for Rome?

Maybe Kerri pairs with Traci Callahan since she’s so willing to skip AVPs.

Is Rome even happening? It’s 4 weeks away and the entry list has no teams listed.
