good Lord. I hope USA Beach isn't paying for that. Come on. Anyone who is healthy enough to keep playing, who loses in Qualis with KWJ as partner just needs to preserve dignity and hang it up. Ohh... I guess that sounds judgmental. What the heck, that is what internet forums are for. USAV is letting Sarah H play and she went 0-6 in CQs… I think it’s good that ex Olympic players help develop the next generation of players. "Letting" her play? You mean helping her with funding, or that USAV has the authority to actually prohibit any player from participating in any FIVB tournament? Edit: Ohhh....you mean they decide who plays in CQ?

Opening ceremony the day before beach starts - Uh oh. I can't remember which athlete in which sport, but in a previous Olympics there was a well known athlete, U.S. I think, who went to the ceremonies and then performed terribly the next day in their event.

But as far as I’ve seen, USAV only removes registered team who have the lowest points out of all the registered teams to get them to the allowed number of teams. Or if they do not have enough points to make the Qualifiers.

But it’s quite concerning how she went from potential Olympics team member to failing to make it out of CQ.

Puzzlingly, I find myself pulling for her even though I definitely have liked her a lot less since she ditched Kelly.

KWJ calls it quits and Brooke S keeps it going. Just my guess Brooke and Delaney Knudsen registered for Gstaad. Why did Traci Callahan ditch Delaney again? Is she injured or something?

There's a good topic for someone with good BVB knowledge to break into the weekly podcast game:
"The Ditchery"

I guess that sounds judgmental. What the heck, that is what internet forums are for. There are no points awarded in Gstaad. In essence, it’s vacation. The fivb competition committee will formally announce that next week but, it’s known. Three more teams pulled out today You mean no Olympic qualifying points, or no points at all? Non-Olympic points still matter for the future even though they don't matter for Tokyo. Then of course there is the usual 4* prize money.

Parting with Claes was fine... just some of the comments should have been kept private. Anyway, as it turns out Claes picked up who I think is already a more effective little on defense, and in a 2-3 years might develop into one of the two or three best sideout littles on tour. IOW, best thing to ever happen to Claes. If only Duda's sideout and Sponcil's defense could be combined... in the words of Dick Enberg... OH MY!!!

Sounds like Brooke picked up Delaney when Kerri decided to drop out. Assuming this is just a temporary partnership, if they get some points it could help Traci and Delaney get into future events.
