Honestly, I think JWO may be the biggest reason why this team is playing so well right now. The level of confidence in the backrow play is through the roof right now.

Another less mentioned thing...
Hancock was the last setter to the USA gym. Both Carlini and Poulter were there week(s) before. Hancock's just getting her fair share of time with the A-team. (that Carlini/Poulter were seeing in the USA gym)

Do you really think USA is playing well? Steamrolling through VNL right now isn’t impressive vs the field. The only match that looked someone good was against Brazil. None of these teams are testing USA and that is a problem. How does the team respond (and certain players) when you play a better or equal opponent. We simply don’t know. |

Karch and company are probably seeing much more competitive matches in the USA scrimmages.
