Tomorrow vs. Korea won't be much of a showing either. Italy might be a fun test...but I doubt it.

Hancock is really making an argument for herself but I still don’t think they’re bringing her honestly. You have zero idea or what their going to do or any basis to think that. That’s not a criticism in any way, people here are throwing darts trying to figure out their process. |

This board is going to explode if Hancock makes Tokyo roster. I don't know what will get the worse reaction -- taking three setters again, or leaving one of Poulter/Carlini at home.
It would be a mistake to take 3 setters. We need an extra "utility" OH.
When is the last time a fifth pin was used in a match of importance? |

Honestly, I think JWO may be the biggest reason why this team is playing so well right now. The level of confidence in the backrow play is through the roof right now. Do you really think USA is playing well? Steamrolling through VNL right now isn’t impressive vs the field. The only match that looked someone good was against Brazil. None of these teams are testing USA and that is a problem. How does the team respond (and certain players) when you play a better or equal opponent. We simply don’t know. “We don’t know” three words we aren’t seeing enough in this thread. |

This has been asked and answered in another thread, but I'll paraphrase.
That final pin may not play in the gold medal match, but they can help their team get there and that's important!
