So I'm relatively new to following international ball. I just don't understand why USA would send a team this year. Why not skip it. If they do send a team can someone give me an example of a player who might be on the team that goes?

The roster/training camp isn't public yet but Cori Crocker and Tiffany Clark's German team posted that they'll be there. Bajema and Jones-Perry's Polish clubs said the same. |

AVC postponed theirs until October. I still don't think China or Korea will join. It overlaps with Japan's league now. The tweet I saw said if they can't get 6 teams, the championship won't go through... Wonder what FIVB does then. ( just give the AVC spots to China/Japan?) That would help NORCECA maybe after everyone else is done their qualifiers, take top 11 by ranking, then top 2 Asian teams by ranking that haven't qualified already.

So I’m assuming that she’s not going to play the NORCECA (thank goodness!). Jordyn is not joining. I hope she’s on holiday. Please, don’t take her to Mexico! Give her some rest!  |

That’s not how it should work. The premise of the qualification system is to take the top 2 from each continent (via qualification tournaments), then then next 11 best overall. China and Japan should get the two AVC spots if the tournament doesn’t happen. |

Do we think Canada can win the NORCECA without Gray? I'm not sure, especially considering DR will likely be at full strength and highly motivated. Plus the US 'B' roster.
I'd assume Bricio will be with the Mexican team? Also, anyone know what Puerto Rico will look like?

(And it depends on how consistent King is) I think they're a solid 3 or 4 going in. And they could use a kind draw to get them their spot (aka USA and DR on the same side of the knockouts somehow) Puerto Rico might be an interesting team to watch. They might be the most on form.... or the most tired.. given their league is about to finish up soon |

They'll be in the same Pool (Mexico is hosting). So, it will likely be one of Canada/Mexico/Puerto Rico getting eliminated in Pool Play, and then two of those teams being matched up against DR/USA in the semifinals. |
