What are you talking about. People in Haiti only know how to rely on the government, compared to the Dominican Republic. In the D.R. when food is needed, somebody plants a garden, people get inspired and they all invest their time and effort in replicating the success. In Haiti they simply steal from other’s garden. Socialism at its finest. Curious, have you spent time in Haiti? Or Dominican Republic?

Do we have to let so many people in so that it becomes as %*$#ty here as elsewhere ?
Dang, I'm not going to be able to eat waffles for a month.
I knew that "these people" comment was a red flag.

They're using the deportation machine Obama built and Trump expanded Dude, this goes back to 1875. It's not like Obama invented the idea of excluding people from the US. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_Act_of_1875True. He just invented the kids in a cage.

True. He just invented the kids in a cage. I thought that was Trump. It was his policy to separate kids from their parents. Basically just to be cruel in order to suppress attempts to get asylum, as far as I can tell.

Great reference. Fact check by USA Today. Maybe a good way to stop using cages is to build a wall or something. Or wait - let's let *accompanied* *illegal* 18-35 year old minors in at the border at the rate of roughly 1 million since Biden and his admin took office. But don't test them for this crazy, highly infectious, contageous and fearful Covid.

Or, maybe we could just, you know, let them come in?
I mean, I thought you right-wingers were all upset about nobody wanting to work jobs now. Well here we have a group of people wanting to come here and work.

Well here we have a group of people wanting to come here and work. The problem isn't with letting them in to the country, it's when it happens without the proper processing. The government has my DNA and blood type on file and maybe still in a vial somewhere because I entered the country through proper means. Is that too much to ask for?

Who is arguing to let them in "without the proper processing?" Let's remember why this thread started. We saw pictures (without explanation) of border patrol agents trying to stop people from crossing. My assumption (and I could be totally wrong) is that they were crossing before being properly processed. It's something that happens a lot from time to time.

It's something that happens because we don't give them a "right way" to do it. We basically make it impossible for people to immigrate here unless they have a) a lot of money, or b) a lot of pull. And then we say, "these people should just come in legally" after making sure there is no way for them to come in legally.

It would like if I said, "you are allowed to drive your car between 2:13am and 2:17am on Saturdays". And then I arrest you for driving at any other time. And if you complain, I tell you that I'm not opposed to you driving; you just have to drive in the time you are legally allowed to drive.
What part of illegal don't you understand?
