Must be Black Friday…LOL
Plenty of match up between top teams in their conferences ending in sweeps.
Best UH getting swept by UCSB, you got PSU sweeping Minnesota, you got UCLA sweeping Oregon and you got BYU sweeping USD. I guess anybody can have a bad match. I hope this is UH’s last one.

Looking at the year to date individual stats our outsides (besides BVS) are really having bad years. It’s a shame Mia and Annika got injured because they could’ve provided the offense at the outside that we so desperately need. I also expected more physicality from Westerberg! On the bight side Amber is putting up all American numbers, gotta love her!!!

Mia Johnson has been cleared to play, for the last couple of matches now. What is keeping her on the sidelines is her lack of defense and blocking. But the thing that is hurting the Wahine the most is Annika de Goede getting hurt. She was giving the Wahine needed points offensively and blocking, from the Opposite position, that the Wahine are lacking now. Annika brought that physicality to that Opposite, that the Wahine do not have in one player right now. Maybe, Leoniak can bring that physicality that Annika had, time will tell hopefully. Right now it is up to Leoniak, if she wants to be that physical Oppisite the Wahine need right now.

This is not a battle for 1st place, cause no matter what, the Wahine will still be in 1st place, after this match. No, I believe Hawaii will be a half match behind UCSB now... Correct. UCSB is now 9-1 in conference, while Hawaii is 8-1.

The only thing physical about her is her height but the athleticism and coordination is not there. Though I would never wish it on anyone and am sad for her, I’m also not surprised she got hurt on her lower half. If you actually watch her approach and the way to contorts her body, it’s very awkward and untrained looking. The top half of her body would prematurely twist and go the exact opposite direction of her lower half. Granted, when you swing there is a slight twisting motion akin to throwing but De Goede was twisted before she even contacted the ball. my opinion is that her one good match against USC was because she didn’t even know what she was doing with her attacking so that threw USC off entirely. Hopefully she can improve as well but even Leoniak with her less than polished approach is much better than De Goede.

Amber Igiede will be a 6 rotation player, well before Westerberg. Just hoping Robyn decides to move Westerberg back to Middle. That is where Westerberg should be training at, not as an Outside, or Opposite, Hitter.

I'm guessing if Wahine lose to CSUN tomorrow then they'd have no chance of making the post season, right?

Lots of doubt. Also thought about a surprise 6 rotation transfer.

I'm guessing if Wahine lose to CSUN tomorrow then they'd have no chance of making the post season, right? Not necessarily, but they would need someone to upset UCSB and Hawaii would need to win out. But if you're talking about making the tournament if they don't win the conference, then you're probably correct.
