Not necessarily, but they would need someone to upset UCSB and Hawaii would need to win out. But if you're talking about making the tournament if they don't win the conference, then you're probably correct. Yeah, I meant if they suffer another loss and don't win the conference. Yup... Hawaii's RPI is low. I believe RPI Future predictions had Hawaii in the mid 50 range with a few more losses, but I believe you need to be between 40-45 range to almost be guaranteed an at-large

Miracles can happen.

Tomorrow's match with CSUN is a must win match, for the Wahine. After that match, the Wahine will have 10 matches left in the BWC. Out of the 10 match, the Wahine will have 6 matches at the SSC, and only 4 matches on the road. Whereas, UCSB will have 6 matches on the road, and only 4 matches at home. Not to mention the 10th match will be at the SSC, home of the Wahine. All home matches will also be with fans, even though a limited number of fans, there will be Wahine fans, in attendance. So the remaining schedule does favor the Wahine.

By the way, not even looking at the RPI this year. Does not mean much for the Wahine. The have to win the BWC Title, or their season is over. There will not be 2 teams from the BWC going to the NCAA Tournament, sorry.

The one thing other BWC teams, including UCSB, need to worry about is that the Wahine have not played their Best yet. Whereas, it seems UCSB has. So with that said, the Wahine can get, and play, better. But for UCSB, if they have peaked, and it seems they have, it can only be one direction for them, and it is downward. Cannot see UCSB playing any better.

Looks like I will be getting the last laugh, when UCSB loses at least 2 more matches in the 2nd half of the BWC schedule.

This season kinda reminds me of RAM's first season as head coach, with the uncertainty of the team's post-season future and the OH position doubts. Heck, maybe even with less faith for that matter.
I've accepted the fact that this year would be different. I didn't have a good feeling before this match and the results weren't surprising. Let's just hope the girls can bounce back and finish the season strong and hopefully get that auto bid. If not, it's okay!

Will UCSB make the tourney if they lose to Hawaii in honolulu? If both teams win out and they meet up in Hawai'i and the Wahines win, UCSB's season is over. I see only one team making it out of the Big West this year.
