Question: If, somehow, USC manages to knock off UCLA, does it screw up the entire PAC RPI situation?

Has Luper been on the sidelines with the team?

Has Luper been on the sidelines with the team? She was on the sideline for Wednesday's match. That was the first time she has been on the sideline since she has been out of the lineup.

I agree they will be swept. I guess replacing Mick Haley is harder than the athletic administration thought.

If Luper plays it’s a sweep for UCLA, probably not close. If she doesn’t UCLA should still win but USC definitely has a chance. It’s interesting how much impact Luper really has on the team, hopefully she is healthy.

I think anything can happen to this UCLA team sans Luper. ESPECIALLY if it’s an LA battle. Go Bruins but would be great for the Trojans to squeak something out. Is the LA battle known for particularly anomalous outcomes? Of all rivalries, it seems one of the chalkier ones. I suspect UCLA in 3 or 4 provided Martin doesn’t totally go walkabout.

What was the reason for her shut down?

are you implying that the talent he has on the floor should have a better record than it does? I was very impressed with the way in 2019 he instilled confidence in the Bruin players, particularly May (recall the May interview after the win over Stanford that year), and if he had had similar talent at USC this year they would have a much better record than they do. My prediction is that when Keller has the floor talent, which is very soon, USC will be fighting at the top of the PAC every year. I'm impressed that with the embarrassing fiasco the USC athletic Department was when he arrived, that he is even fighting for a .500 record with players that are not his.

I agree they will be swept. I guess replacing Mick Haley is harder than the athletic administration thought. How could it not have been difficult? About the time USC was interviewing candidates the entire Athletic Dept went up in Federal Indictment flames... not even counting the lack of respect for coaches shown even before that all came to the nation's attention. As with any coaching change, unless the cupboard is full, the new coach needs a couple of seasons to get his players using his system.

I don’t even remember their coach before keller but the fact that he couldn’t ever get lanier and botkin past the elite 8 is absolutely crazy

I'm impressed that with the embarrassing fiasco the USC athletic Department was when he arrived, that he is even fighting for a .500 record with players that are not his. Mick Haley did leave Brooke Botkin who caught up in circumstances beyond her control is on her third head coach during her stay at USC. Brooke is a great player who experienced more upheavel to her career than any player going back to 25 years and Lisa Love. Botkin showed up to a loaded roster that included Khalia Lanier. Since the firing of Haley everything has regressed. Keller has some outstanding players coming in but USC will still be year away at least to compete for the Pac-12 crown. The Pac 12 will be returning many good players.
