How could it not have been difficult? About the time USC was interviewing candidates the entire Athletic Dept went up in Federal Indictment flames... not even counting the lack of respect for coaches shown even before that all came to the nation's attention. As with any coaching change, unless the cupboard is full, the new coach needs a couple of seasons to get his players using his system. Very true. I don’t even remember their coach before keller but the fact that he couldn’t ever get lanier and botkin past the elite 8 is absolutely crazy Tha name is Mick Haley, you’re welcome.

Okay who among the grad transfers wished they never left their previous schools, which ironically are all going to the dance?

Do you want deep analysis or a one word answer?

Going Dancing: Sabrina Smith (UCLA) Shannon Scully (Pepperdine) Paige Hammons (Florida) Not dancing: Mia Tuaniga (Long Beach State) Kylie Baumert (D2) Candice Denny (Arizona) Sarah Nelson (Duke) *longshot for NCAA Tournament

are you implying that the talent he has on the floor should have a better record than it does? I was very impressed with the way in 2019 he instilled confidence in the Bruin players, particularly May (recall the May interview after the win over Stanford that year), and if he had had similar talent at USC this year they would have a much better record than they do. My prediction is that when Keller has the floor talent, which is very soon, USC will be fighting at the top of the PAC every year. I'm impressed that with the embarrassing fiasco the USC athletic Department was when he arrived, that he is even fighting for a .500 record with players that are not his. Good god how many more top ten recruits and impact transfers do you think Keller needs? Lol

Very true. I don’t even remember their coach before keller but the fact that he couldn’t ever get lanier and botkin past the elite 8 is absolutely crazy Tha name is Mick Haley, you’re welcome. The most immediate coach before Keller was Brent Crouch. His record at USC was 40-25. USC was in the tournament both years that he was there. Lost in the second round twice. Crouch is now at Auburn, where his record is 13-22 so far. In Mick Haley's final season, USC outscored Florida in the regional final and was up 2-1 after three sets, but still lost that match 3-2. (USC had match point in the 4th set to send them to the Final Four, but then Florida got three points in a row to take set 4 26-24.) Mick's reward for getting his team within a point of the Final Four was to be fired.
