So in Lonestar Austin Jr and Alamo are the only two with open bid correct in 16s? HJV blew it there. At Lonestar 16s, Austin Jrs, Drive Nation and Madfrog had bids (Vision from CA also did but didn't make Gold bracket this weekend...still a great team). So everyone that made it to Sunday gold received bids: Alamo, TAV and Skyline. Yes sorry my daughter was there. I meant Lone Star Region and not Lone Star Qualifier when I said that which was misleading. We actually had 4 losses and all of our losses were to teams with open bids (2 to Vision and 1 to Drive Nation, 1 to Mad Frogs) In the Lone Star Region, Regionals is coming up in 3 weeks and the way it works is if you have an open bid you are not allowed to compete. So was trying to think in my mind who from the region would not be at regionals and as of right now its just Alamo and AJV. We are 1-1 against those teams this year. I believe H Skyline and HJV both are going to one more qualifier so they have a chance to win a bid and be exempt from regionals as well.

Interesting roster posted for SASVBC 18-1. If this is the actual roster competing this weekend, I expect the other teams in pool 6 to roll through this team. Only 4 players from their Qualifier roster?? What happened to Williams (VT), Kahahawai (Texas), Matias (Hawaii), Robins (Portland)?? Does anyone have insight on the rules on a roster change of this degree? Frozen rosters?

Frozen rosters means that no one that is on a roster when a team qualifies can play for any other team in a qualifier or nationals. Players not on a qualified teams roster can be added to a qualified teams roster, and players that are on a roster when a team qualifies can be removed from that roster, they just cannot be added to another teams roster.

Makes sense and thanks for the insight. Unfortunate for those players not competing in their final Junior National Tournament.

The new roster is definitely not as good as the original one.

Anyone know if NEQ is being streamed this weekend? It is going to be streamed on something called "be the beast". I have never used it. Here is a link: neqvolleyball.com/live-stream/

Nice job by Metro 16 to dominate the NEQ in Philly. Colorado Jrs finished second and Circle City and NKYVC tied for third.
In the 15 Open TAV Black was the winner. Surfside was second and NKYVC and HPSTL 15 Royal tied for third. TAV had six three game matches, then won two game threes 15-1, two others 15-4 and 15-6 and two games went to 15-11.

Metro 16 was indeed on fire all weekend. Everyone knew about how tall they are as a team. However, I was impressed by their defense and serve receive. They seem to be putting it all together at the right time of the year. No surprise at all with TAV winning the 15' age group. TAV 15 Black is a team that could be on the podium in Indy.

www.instagram.com/tv/CbL-C3nPUnN/?igshid=NjY2NjE5MzQ=Kelly Kinney - Boomers 15 Mizuno (Pompano Beach, FL) Definitely a 2025 to keep our eyes on in the coming years. 6’2” & can play both pins effectively. Followed on Instagram by Texas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Penn State, USC, Louisville, and Purdue (to name a few). Her club also posted that Jaylen Reyes from Nebraska and Erik Sullivan from Texas came to their gym in person (I would have to imagine for Kinney)

Just walked back into the gym at far western and many many courts have coaches up reffing. I didn’t see any yesterday or earlier this morning. Maybe I just didn’t notice?
