The Collins/Brown middle quick connection has been difficult to watch this season. Is there a big difference between the sets that Rylee wants versus what Kennedy wants? Just wondering why one connection is so good while the other one is so off. They both need a 1 1/2 set. A little higher of a set allowing them to jump hang and hit around the block.

2 wins : 1 against a RV team and MSU just beat NW. NW got hit by injuries and was RV. We could possibly jump over NW & MIch for a bid if we run the rest of the season.

So conceivably Brown should be able to set the same ball regardless of who's swinging?

Mosher has to be loving this season. She’s so talented and can do it all.

Should is the key word. Her location was off again tonight. Not sure what Hinton did to up her game so much but she has been playing lights out!

Is she not coming back for a 5th year?

Pasquale said he thought he recalled hearing in a recent radio broadcast of a game that Rylee and Jess were both not coming back next year.

Hinton not coming back, might be that “light bulb” going off in her head. last few chances to give it her all for the fighting illini and safe to say she’s doing that. Her stepping up is way needed, especially with how off the Collins/Brown connection has been. keep the focus on that connection this week in practice and if we can get both of our middles going, it’s only going to open up the pins.
Mosher’s play has been so impressive this year, i can’t wait to see what our offense looks like next year. her fire and intensity is going to be awesome. I’m happy with how we’ve been playing, even if that MN match didn’t fall our way. I think there’s a slight opening for us to just sneak in to the tournament…let’s finish out strong!!

Pasquale said he thought he recalled hearing in a recent radio broadcast of a game that Rylee and Jess were both not coming back next year. Tim Ditman definitely listed three players who were not coming back. I was listening to the match in the background and he randomly mentioned this during the broadcast, so I was caught off guard when he said this. However, I'm fairly confident the three players he mentioned were Brown, Nunge and Hinton.

Excited to see Taylor & Gabby on the court. Could be a Raina & Taylor 1-2 punch on the outside next year. Gabby might be able to come in and start in the MB if none of our seniors come back for a second year. I wonder if Tamas hits the transfer portal for another OH /DS if Nunge doesn’t get a Covid Year. Don’t sleep on Lily. She was recruited by Stanford, Wisconsin, Florida and other powerhouse programs. She’ll add some spark and depth in the back row.

She will probably jump Sakoda but lets see if she gives Barnes a run for her money in the L department.

tentative rpi has illinois right at 65. needed that minnesota win, but strong wins against indiana and northwestern will leave us with a razor thin chance at the tournament.
